1. What is the Energy output of the detonating circuit?

The Energy stored in the firing capacitor is outputted in pulse mode. The energy output to the fuse head is larger than 6 millijoule 2. What is the maximum ESD energy the detonator can stand?

Under 2000pf 10KV ESD test, the detonator is not damaged. Under 2.5nf 30kV, there's no unintended initiation.

3. Does the circuit verify the Fuse head resistance? If so: what R ranges are the ones accepted?

The circuit does not verify the Fuse head resistance, but it checks whether fuse head is open.

4. What is the maximum amount of detonators blasted with this system? What length of wire was used then?

In Master-Slave mode, this system can handle 5000+ detonators, Single blaster can blast maximum 500 detonators. The length of wire mainly depends on its resistance, the system requires the resistance of the BUS connecting the detonators is less than 100 Ohm. In Master-Slave mode, the wire length from the master to the slave is larger than 3000 meters.

5. What kind of communication protocol is used for the detonators?

The system uses private communication protocol between the Inspector/ Programmer and the detonators, we found that the general communication protocol is hard to satisfy the requirement so we designed a new one according to the parameters from the real measurement. In Master-Slave mode, the system uses RS485 between the master and the slaves.

6. What is the working temperature range for the Inspection device/Programmer?

-20 ~ +50 degree centigrade.

The system can detect the following defects: a. Whether the energy output circuits is OK b. Whether the fuse head is open c. Whether Input resistance is abnormal d. Whether the charge function of the firing cap is OK e. Whether the state transition is OK 8. What is the maximum leakage the system can handle?

Every BUS connecting the detonators can handle 15 mA leakage current.

9. Which of the tests mentioned in EN 13763 were executed, are these results available?

We use two methodologies to test the precision, one for circuits: blasting programmer outputs one time base signal, observing the energy output enable signal through oscilloscope. Another one is for detonators: Set one detonator's delay time to 0 mS as time base, blasting programmer blasts two detonators, measure the difference value of the two blasting of the detonators. The later depends on the fuse head characteristics to some extent.

11. Are these circuits currently used in system by an explosive manufacturer? What homologations have been obtained? Â
