Dreaming in Color
He recalls, “Starting out in the business, my manager was Carol Haacker, and I still work for her today. She told me that she didn’t like hiring part-time Realtors@, so I said if she’d hire me, I wouldn’t be part time. Here it is 19 years later, and we’re at our second company together. She’s always been there to answer questions and point me in the right direction.”
A transaction as complex as the purchase or sale of real estate requires a whole team of experts working together to make the process work seamlessly. This is why Davin founded Davin Emmons & Associates Real Estate Specialists at HomeSmart Evergreen Realty. The team’s foundation is Davin and his associates — Realtors@ Cindy Vu and Madoka Martin — dedicated young professionals who share Davin’s vision of service excellence. Davin explains that his team is different from many in real estate, because he empowers his associates to build their own reputations and books of business. “When I give them business to handle, it’s their client. I want them to shine and for their name to be prominent as well.”

The “specialists” in the Davin Emmons & Associates Real Estate Specialists are the network of trusted professionals behind the scenes that Davin has assembled over nearly two decades in real estate. “These are the lenders, title reps, escrow officers, transaction coordinators — the support people that no one knows about but are essential to closing a transaction.”
With a goal of helping others dream in color, Davin recently launched the Davin Emmons & Associates Think Tank, a regular symposium where top industry professionals impart their best practices to select agents. The first meeting featured Davin’s preferred title representative discussing farming and marketing options. “I want to help my friends in the industry make money by understanding what has helped my business to grow. I have surrounded myself with the right people, and I can help put other agents in front of the right people. It’s all about helping friends grow their businesses.”
When it comes to getting people where they want to go in real estate, nobody works harder or with more heart than Davin. He says that one of the greatest life lessons he has acquired through real estate is having more compassion for others. “You never know what anyone is going through, and sometimes you just have to pause. I’ve taken that from this industry, especially through the pandemic. When someone asks for my help, none of it is on my timeline. I’m here to help them make a move when it’s good for them.”
His clients’ many five-star reviews and personal expressions of thanks reveal the value Davin brings to each real estate transaction. A recent seller said: “Working with Davin allowed for the process of selling my home to be an enjoyable experience. As challenges arose, I found his expertise, strategic mind, and creative energy to be extremely helpful with staying the course to meet my goals. I highly recommend Davin’s services. He and his team are superstars!”
A first-time buyer shared: “Davin is truly a gem! His perspective on the process and approach to helping us find our first home was spot on. Our deal was seamless because of his expertise.”

In recent years, Davin says he’s also learned to find more balance in life, in part, due to the influence of Broker Randy Rector. “One of the best things I did for myself was becoming a Rams season ticket holder a couple of years ago. It’s a nice escape for a Sunday afternoon.” Davin also prioritizes time with his wife of 26 years and their two children. Their son recently graduated from Arizona State University, and their daughter is a new high school graduate exploring her next opportunities.
“To me, life is about dreaming in color,” Davin says. “As a young person, coming from where I started, I never dreamed I’d be able to have the level of success I have today. I think we have to dream in color — whatever that means to whomever it is. For a lot of people, owning a home is a big part of that dream, and I want to help them get there.”
