entral New York’s biggest food and music festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6 in and around Clinton Square. Admission is free. The Taste of Syracuse will have non-stop music for two days. Multiplatinum artist and reality TV superstar, Bret Michaels will headline the festival on Saturday night. The Nighthawks and Bob Margolin will play their blues music throughout the day on Saturday during the Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival on the Kwik Fill main stage. A total of 36 bands will

play over the course of the weekend. 17 of the acts are new to the Taste of Syracuse this year. New this year, the Taste of Syracuse will have “Food Trucks on Franklin.” Six food trucks will be located on Franklin Street showcasing various items that you can find around the city during the summer months. The Taste of Syracuse will also feature a “Salute the Troops Saturday” event on June 6 to honor the men and women who serve our country. Select restaurants and food vendors will offer two samples
for $1 to military personnel on Saturday. Various other promotions will be going on to show support for the local military. “We’re looking forward to a great Taste of Syracuse weekend,” said Galaxy Events General Manager Carrie Wojtaszek. “No matter what you’re looking for, musically or food wise, we truly can say we’ve got it at Taste of Syracuse! We’re also happy to honoring the members of the military that serve our country and community each and every day.”
