Trick-or-treat with the animals Treats, games, dance party featured at annual Zoo Boo
T
he Rosamond Gifford Zoo will transform into a Halloween haunt where children can trick-or-treat with the animals at its annual Zoo Boo days the last two weekends of October. This popular event offers a pre-Halloween party atmosphere with treat stations throughout the zoo, zookeeper demonstrations and animal encounters with some of the zoo’s creepier creatures, as well as ghostly games and a Monster Mash dance party, among other hauntingly hilarious activities in the spirit of the season. Zoo Boo will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 21, 22, 28 and 29, rain or shine. The cost is $8 per child in addition to zoo admission (which is free to zoo members). Children - and their accompanying adults – are encouraged to wear their costumes and bring treat bags, or purchase a reusable Halloween treat bag for $1 each at the zoo. Rosamond Gifford Zoo members may buy advance-sale tickets for Zoo Boo good for any of the four days at rosamondgiffordzoo.org/zoo-boo. The general public can buy tickets at the door the day of the Zoo Boo events. More information at rosamondgiffordzoo.org.
