Serving up Smiles with Eagle Harbor Tennis

Eagle Harbor Tennis was proud to host a one-hour clinic for BASCA in Orange Park. BASCA provides essential programs and services that support individuals with intellectual and developmental differences.

Nancy Simmons, a member of the Eagle Harbor Ladies Tennis Program, leads the Racquet Buddies

initiative at the Orange Park facility. Our tennis staff and volunteers were delighted to partner with Nancy and BASCA to host this special clinic for both children and adults.

The energy and enthusiasm on court were incredible, and our coaches truly enjoyed sharing their love of tennis with such an inspiring group.

“There is no penalty if the player’s ball is accidently moved by the player, opponent or anyone else while trying to find or identify it. BUT if the player causes the ball to move before the start of the search for the ball, the player gets one penalty stroke under Rule 9.4b.” (R&A/USGA Rules of Golf Effective January 2023, Rule 7.4 pg. 72)

Under this rule, the ball must be replaced in its original spot if known. If the original spot is unknown, it must be estimated.

EAGLE HARBOR

The Holiday Season is Here!

Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. With all the fun and excitement that’s sure to ensue it’s important for residents to be considerate of neighbors, and keep the following items in mind:

1. Outdoor Decorations: please ensure outdoor holiday displays do not begin more than 30 days before the given holiday and are removed no later than 30 days after the holiday. Lights and musical displays should be turned off nightly by 10pm.

2. Parking: The holidays bring many people together, and that means extra cars will need to be parked. When parking guests please make sure roads, sidewalks and neighboring driveways and mailboxes are not blocked. Also, ensure cars are not parked, on either side of the street, directly across from one another, as this causes difficulties for other drivers on the road.
