Rules Tip of the Month:

Penalty Areas (Marked by Red Stakes)

Your option after a ball enters a penalty area:

1. Play the ball as it lies (no penalty)

2. Stroke and Distance: Replay your previous shot with 1 penalty stroke

3. Back on the line of relief: Drop behind the penalty area on a line from the hole through where the ball last crosses with 1 penalty stroke

4. Lateral Relief: Drop within two-club lengths of where the ball last crossed the margin, no closer to the hole with 1 penalty stroke.

Knowing the rules of golf can not only make the game more enjoyable but will also help with pace of play.

Thank you all for your support. Fairways and Greens!
