Come celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a star-spangled day packed with fun, laughter, and festive cheer! We’ll kick off the celebration with our parade and keep the party going with a splash at the pool party afterward!
Show off your patriotic spirit by decorating your bike, motorcycle, golf cart, vehicle, or trailer and joining the parade in red, white, and blue style!
The parade will roll out at 10am from Talons, travel along Eagle Harbor Parkway, and make its way to Swim Park. Once you arrive, the festivities will continue with plenty of poolside fun and celebration for everyone to enjoy! Continue the festivities at Talon for live music from 7-10pm featuring Salty Dawgs.

From Fleming Island Fields to the NWSL: Lia Godfrey is Just Getting Started
Local soccer standout makes history at every turn, now starring for San Diego Wave FC
If you've followed youth soccer in Clay County over the past two decades, the name Godfrey probably rings a bell. But for those who may have missed it, one of our own has grown into one of the brightest young stars in professional women's soccer — and her story starts right here at home.
Lia Godfrey, a Fleming Island native, first laced up her cleats around age four. By seven, she had already joined Clay County Soccer Club, and it didn't take long for coaches and parents on the sideline to realize they were watching something special. For years, Lia held her own competing alongside her twin brother, Garret, on boys and coed teams, and the two even shared the field together on a competitive 3v3 squad during the off-season. That early foundation — built on local fields right here in Clay County — would prove to be the launching pad for a remarkable career. As she grew, so did the stage. Lia went on to play Development Academy soccer with Clay County Soccer Club — later known as United Soccer Alliance — and ECNL soccer with Jacksonville FC, steadily building a résumé that placed her among the nation's elite young players. US Youth and Women’s National team call-ups followed at the U-15, U-16, U-19, U-20 and U-23 levels, but perhaps none more stunning than what came in 2016: at just 14 years old, Lia Godfrey became the youngest U.S. player ever to compete in a FIFA World Cup, suiting up for the U-17 Women's World Cup in Jordan. Fleming Island had a world competitor in its midst, and many here already knew it.
Her next chapter took her to Charlottesville, Virginia, where she spent six seasons with the University of Virginia Cavaliers. While there, she earned All-American honors four times with two of those as a First Team All-American — no small feat in the hypercompetitive ACC. The road wasn't always smooth. A torn ACL wiped out her entire 2023 season, the kind of setback that tests the character of any athlete. But those who watched her grow up around here probably weren't surprised by what came next. Lia came back in 2025 for her sixth and final
collegiate season, started all 22 games, posted a career-high 11 goals and four assists, and walked away with ACC Midfielder of the Year honors and her second first-team AllAmerican nod.
On December 30, 2025, she signed a professional contract with San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League — one of the league's premier clubs. And she has not wasted a single moment.
In her very first month as a professional, Godfrey scored in three consecutive matches, including a dramatic gamewinning goal in the 87th minute against Utah Royals FC to deliver San Diego its first win of the season. The performance earned her NWSL Rookie of the Month honors for March. She currently leads all NWSL rookies with four goals on the season and has already set a new club rookie record — all before her
first year is even finished.
For the neighbors, coaches, and families who watched her chase a ball around Clay County all those years ago, none of this feels like a surprise. It feels like a story that was always meant to be told.
Fleming Island's own Lia Godfrey isn't just living her dream. She's only just getting started — and we'll be watching every step of the way.

This clinic is for intermediate tournament level kids. Players must be approved by a pro to attend this clinic.
*A minimum of 4 registrants is required per session or the clinic will be canceled.
Advanced Junior After School Training Program
Designed for the disciplined player who competes in a high school team or in tournaments. The program includes drilling, strategy, match play, conditioning and goal setting.

Our beginner’s class will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge to just have fun or for you to move forward with confidence in our tennis program. Open to all Eagle Harbor residents age 18+. Racquets are provided to those who need one. Proper Tennis shoes must be worn.

Eagle Harbor Tennis and Pickleball Dress Code & Policies
1. All players should check in at tennis shop before playing.
2. Proper Tennis Attire should be worn. **No cutoffs or jean material. No Sports bras, crop tops, or bikers shorts may be worn by themselves. Shirts MUST be worn at all times.
4. DO NOT play on wet courts.
5. Proper Court Etiquette should be observed at all times.
6. Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult and should not be left unattended. Children are not permitted on the court during a lesson, clinic, or match.
3. Only smooth sole Tennis Shoes should be worn. Running shoes, cross-training shoes, Flip flops, slides or Crocs are not permitted due to risk of injury and damage to courts.
7. Smoking is NOT permitted around the tennis grounds.
8. A Member is allowed 20 guests a year. Member must check guest in before play. Guest must be with a member at all times. Guest Fee is $5 per person per day unless member is using a guest pass.
9. A Member may make a court reservation up to 1 week in advance.

Street Parking & the Law
Vehicles should be parked in a garage and/or driveway to avoid blocking sidewalks, crosswalks, intersections, and obstructing the view of pedestrians and drivers. Street parking contributes to many types of hazardous situations so please be mindful of this and let’s keep our community roads safe!
• Don’t park across from someone else’s driveway, impeding their ability to exit their property
• Don’t park too close to mailboxes as this may cause the postman not to deliver the mail
• Don’t use street parking as a permanent parking solution
• Following are some parking laws as stated in the Florida State Statute 316.1945: No person shall park a vehicle, whether occupied or not:
• On a sidewalk
• On a crosswalk or within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection
• On a bicycle path
• In front of a public or private driveway
