Eagle Harbor Tennis and Pickleball Dress Code

Registration starts May 1st and deadlines are one week before the start of each session.  Registration fees may be paid by credit card, check or with your amenity account Monday of the camp session attending. These camps will focus on developing fundamental skills in a fun atmosphere and include two hours of tennis instructions and games followed by an hour of swim. For more information to sign up call 904-269-2500, visit the tennis shop to register, or you can visit www.eagleharboronline.com to print out a form to register to drop off at the tennis shop.  (Items you will need: bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, water bottle, tennis shoes, and a racquet if you have one already)

Proper tennis attire and shoes are required on the tennis/pickleball courts. NO CROCS OR FLIP FLOPS are to be worn on the courts. Shirts MUST be worn at all times, Ladies – NO SPORTS BRAS, CROP TOPS, or SPANDEX SHORTS are to be worn by themselves.

Junior Pickleball Clinic Tuesday, May 2 | Thursday, May 11

• 3:45-4:45pm Beginner Juniors - Ages 8-11

This clinic is for Juniors who are new to the game.

•4:45-5:45pm Advanced Juniors and Beginner Teenagers - Ages 10-18

This clinic is for advanced tournament juniors who have been playing for a longer period and also for beginner teenagers.

COST: $15 per player (Times are the same for all days)

Eagle Harbor Pickleball Dress Code & Policies

1. Pickleball Courts are for Eagle Harbor Resident ONLY!

2. A Resident is allowed 20 guests a year. 1 guest per 1 member. Resident must check guest in before play. Guest must be with a member at all times. Guest Fee is $5 per person per day unless member is using a guest pass.

3. Proper Pickleball Attire should be worn. **No cutoffs or jean material. No Sports bras or bikers shorts may be worn by themselves. Shirts MUST be worn at all times.

4. Only smooth sole Tennis Shoes should be worn. Running shoes, Cross-training shoes, Flip flops, or Crocs are not permitted due to risk of injury and damage to courts.

5. DO NOT play on wet courts.

6. Smoking is NOT permitted around the pickleball grounds.

7. Proper Court Etiquette should be observed at all times.

8. NO FOOD OUTSIDE THE TABLE AREA.

If you are not wearing the correct clothing or shoes you will be asked to leave the facility

-Do not remove the furniture from under the cabana area

-Do not move the nets in between the courts

-Please place all trash in trash can

-A maximum of 4 players is allowed per court  Help Eagle Harbor keep our new pickleball courts in good shape.

Eagle Harbor Golf Clinics for kids are designed to introduce Juniors to golf in a fun and welcoming setting. Session topics will vary each week while introducing players to the fundamental skills required to enjoy the game entirely. No equipment is necessary for beginners. Call the golf shop to sign up today.

Happenings in Golf

After a successful April and Women’s Member Guest, we turn to May where we hope to play as much golf as we all possibly can! The month should bring us great weather, and of course, our Men’s Member Guest Tournament!

As the grass grows, we must prepare for what the course needs! With aerification around the corner (June 12-15), the Maintenance crew will be putting in the necessary protocols to ensure the course heals after it is done. We will be backing off the growth regulator, and to compensate for the growth, we are planning to mow just a tad shorter. This will happen toward the end of the month.

HARBOR SLOW DOWN!

School will be out for summer soon, and while we should always be aware of the speed limits, it’s even more important now that students will be out and about on bikes and darting across the street in pursuit of summer fun. Speed limits for the Eagle Harbor community are 30mph on Eagle Harbor Parkway from Hwy 17 until you get to Harbor Lake Drive. From Harbor Lake Drive to Lakeshore Drive the speed limit is 25mph and 15mps in individual neighborhoods. For the safety of everyone, we ask that motorists watch out for pedestrians when driving through the community.

Fishing in the Ponds

Good weather brings an increase

in both resident and non-resident fishing in the community ponds. While ponds located on CDD property are welcome spots for all, ponds located behind a resident’s home are private property and should not be accessed, even through CDD assigned access points (easements), by anyone other than the homeowner or a CDD employee for the purpose of maintaining the pond.

and it is within the rights of the homeowner to interpret unauthorized access as trespassing and call the Sheriff’s office. Please respect the privacy of these homeowners and confine your fishing activities to those ponds that are easily accessed from unrestricted property.
