Book Exchange/Swap Friday, March 17 | 4pm | Annex Join us for one of our resident favorites, Eagle Harbor’s Book Exchange! Stock up or exchange books that range from cooking, suspense, travel, self-help, romance, children, youth, classics and more! You do not have to donate to participate!

Mingle with your neighbors and pick out newto-you books to take home. Any leftovers books and monies collected will be donated to our local library!local library!

Donating? Here is how it works: • Drop off any new or gently used Adult or Children’s books to Waterfront Park • We will sign you up & write down amount of books donated • Arrive at event at Annex Building • Check in & you will receive a ticket for the number of book you previously donated • That ticket can then be used to buy/exchange, “new-to-you” books inside the event

YOU CAN STILL PARTICIPATE! • Residents that did not donate books can still participate • Books will cost 50 cents to any residents that did not donate books but would like to purchase books at the exchange (All monies collected will be donated to local library!)

Easter Scramble & Hunt!

Saturday, April 8 | SWIM PARK Scramble Begins at 10 a.m. SHARP Please arrive 20 minutes early to sign-in Ages: 12 and UNDER | $8 per child NO OUTSIDE BASKETS ALLOWED – WE WILL BE PROVIDING BASKETS | DEADLINE: APRIL 4 The facility will be split into different age appropriate categories and prizes. Multi colored eggs and prizes will be lining to pool deck as far as the eye can see. The Easter Bunny will also be attending so please be sure to bring your cameras!

We will be handing out Easter Baskets at the door to all children that are participating. This way there is no big baskets and small baskets and everyone has a fair shot!

• Reservations are REQUIRED for this event • Walk ups & reservations after RSVP date will NOT be accepted • Space is LIMITED & CAPPED (if we reach capacity before RSVP DEADLINE event will be closed).

Eagle Harbor Aquatics is getting ready for Summer!

If you would like to be part of our team, here is your chance. We will be hiring adult supervisors, snack bar, front desk and lifeguards.

If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard we will be holding certification classes on the following dates.

Sign up will begin a month prior • March 11-13 • April 1-3 • April 29 - May 1st

• June 3 - 5 • July 8 - 10

Snack Bar and Front Desk positions fill up quickly, we will begin hiring in March and conclude in April in order to complete the required training prior to opening in May. If you are interested in a position please submit an application online by visiting www.eagleharboronline.com/employment All applicants must be 16 years of age or turning 16 by June 1st.

March Lifeguard Certification Lifeguards at Eagle Harbor work as individuals and as a team to oversee residents at our 3 beautiful aquatic facilities.

Lifeguards are responsible for providing water rescues should the need arise and administer any first aid or emergency care and treatment.

All lifeguards are required to be Red Cross certified and possess a CPR and First Aid certification.

Sign up by calling Waterfront Park at 904-621-8362

Prerequisites: 1) Minimum age: 16 years.

2) Swim 300 yards continuously using the breast or front crawl.

3) Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.

4) Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards.

5) Surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point.

Exit the water without using a ladder or steps. *Must be able to complete prerequisites to be accepted into the class.

Kids Clinic Tiny Tots is for ages 3-6 from 4:00-4:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays. $10 each child per clinic. *please notice the price increase.

Orange Ball Developmental Clinic is for juniors ages 7-10 from 4:30 -5:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. This is a great way to introduce your children to tennis. It is a fun, educational clinic that teaches them the game, eye hand coordination and of course how to have fun playing. $15 per child per clinic.

Tournament Level Clinic is for juniors ages 12 and up from 5:30-6:30pm on Mondays and 6:30-7:30pm on Wednesdays $15 per child per clinic. This is for the intermediate tournament level kids. (Must be approved by a pro to attend this clinic) Teen Tennis Clinic is for beginner juniors ages 12-18 from 6:30-7:30pm on Wednesdays. It is a fun, educational clinic that teaches them the game, eye hand coordination and of course how to have fun playing. $15 per child per clinic. **A minimum of 4 registrants are required per session or the session will be canceled. ** You can register by phone at 269-2500 day of the clinic

Tri- Level Pickleball League Junior Pickleball Clinic Thursday March 2nd Tuesday March 14th Thursday March 16th 4-5pm Beginner Juniors – Ages 8-11 – This clinic is for Juniors who are new to the game.

League play is every Thursday from 6-9pm. Must be 18 & over to register.

Come on out and watch some great pickleball! We have over 90 residents competing in this past seasons Tri Level Spring league. All spectators welcome!

Junior Golf Clinics Eagle Harbor Golf Clinics for kids are designed to introduce Juniors to golf in a fun and welcoming setting.

Session topics will vary each week while introducing players to the fundamental skills required to enjoy the game entirely. No equipment is necessary for our beginners. Call the golf shop to sign up today.

Association and competes on a regular basis in these events across Congratulations to each of these the country in which golfers of all ladies for making ACES this past ages and abilities compete utilizing month! This was a month where classic and restored Hickory the ladies cashed.

Recently BJ competed in an event Teri Wensell made her second career Hole-In-One on January 10th at the historic Winter Park 9 and during Ladies Playday which was an captured the ladies championship added thrill for the group. Teri holed over 18-Holes with a gross score out a pitching wedge from 81 yards of 82! BJ shared in the excitement and was cheered on by her good on Hole #15.

Belinda Brewer made her Hole- friend and fellow member Leslie In-One on Hole #13 from 121 yards Gilliland. This wasn’t enough for BJ as she followed up that great day where she used a seven wood for by besting the field the next day in her ACE. a four club challenge (utilizing only Happenings in Golf four clubs) with a gross score of BJ Hayden is an active member 43! Congratulations and great fun of the Florida Hickory Golfers ladies!
