News and Notes from the Golf Shop

2022 Holiday at the Harbor

The annual Holiday at the Harbor event in early December plays host to fifty-eight teams from across northeast Florida in this one day fun team event. The planning committee of Susan Mackert, Lisa Leiby, Jane Smith, Melody Wise, and Pattie Jenkins take great pride in putting on one of the very best invitationals for women. This event is always sold out and on top of the fun golf competition everyone really gets into the holiday spirit by dressing up or for the part. Prizes are given to the best costumes of the day highlighted in this article! Congratulations to this years two overall winners Vickie Prince and Melissa Bohm won the net division with a team score of 60 while Therese Quinn and her partner Chris Hunt has gross score of 66!

2022 Turkey Bash

There is always good fun and team spirit when it comes to Florida versus Florida State. Ernie Reiter and Sonny White gather some rapid football fans as well as golfers for this annual competition on the day after Thanksgiving. This years event pitted twenty-four Gators and twenty-four Seminoles against each other for this fun match play event. It was down to the wire and the past match on the course. The Gators came out on top on the golf course while the Seminoles of course prevailed that night on the football field.
