EBCTS Exam Applications Now Open
Applications are now open for the European Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery (EBCTS) level 1 MEBCTS and level 2 FEBCTS examinations.
The level 1 exam - Membership of the European Board of Cardiothoracic (MEBCTS) - awards surgeons who have attained levels of knowledge and proficiency that can be recognised as appropriate for early and established independent specialist practice in cardiothoracic surgery and sub-specialist areas - adult cardiac/congenital or thoracic.
MEBCTS examinations are now delivered in recognised test centres around the world including centres in Istanbul, Berlin, Riyadh, London, Zurich and Madrid.
Applications for the 2023 level 1 MEBCTS exam are now open and will close on 31 May 2023.
FEBCTS
The level 2 exam – Fellowship of the European Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery (FEBCTS) – is a comprehensive and challenging exam which tests the scope of knowledge, clinical judgement and applications of the principles and practice of an autonomous/ independently practising surgeons to the
standard expected in one or more areas of established subspecialist practice – adult cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery and congenital cardiac surgery.
Applications for the 2023 level 2 FEBCTS exam will close on 30 April 2023.
