Phone: (321) 639-4842 Fax.(321) 639-7006 EAACORP@EAACORP.com www.EAACORP.com/IPSC17 Tanfoglio/EAA Corp Win Big at the 2017 IPSC Handgun World Shoot Tanfoglio/EAA Corp Dominate Across 4 Divisions at the 2017 IPSC Handgun World Shoot Chateauroux, France – Sept. 5, 2017 – Only 3 years after conquering the 2014 World Shoot by sweeping the Men’s Production division ( 1st Place – Eric Grauffel, 2nd Place – Simon “JJ” Racaza, 3rd Place – Ben Stoeger ) and taking the gold in Women’s Production Division ( 1st Place – Maria Gushchina ), the Tanfoglio/EAA Corp. power squad has accomplished another astounding achievement by bringing home four medals in three separate Men’s divisions AND nabbing 1st place in the Women’s Standard division; an achievement not before seen on the IPSC World Shoot Stage.

Eric Grauffel adds to his astounding win record by holding down first place in the Men’s Standard Division. Shooting the Tanfoglio Limited Pistol, Eric bested over 370 competitors in the category with the third largest match participation of the event, to take the honor. This win brings Eric’s World Shoot total to an incredible 7 Gold medals and 1 Junior Gold medal.

Also in the Standard Division and shooting a Tanfoglio Limited Pistol, Christine Burkhalter led the pack and grabbed the top spot on the Women’s side. With this win, Tanfoglio/EAA Corp walk away with both Gold medals in the Standard division, showcasing the amazing performance of the Tanfoglio Limited pistol in the hands of talented shooters.

Ben Stoeger remained unshaken in the Men’s Production Division against the largest match participation of the event, over 480 competitors vied for the coveted gold but fell short as Ben outpaced the crowd with his Tanfoglio Stock 2 pistol and brought home the honors. With this medal, Ben’s IPSC honors grow to a total of 4 IPSC Gold medals across US and International championships with a grand total of 9 medals including gold, silver and bronze.

Shooting a Tanfoglio Stock 2 pistol as well, Eduardo de Cobos snagged 3rd place to bring home the bronze medal in the Men’s Production Division. Placing the Tanfoglio/EAA Corp team, and the Stock 2 pistol, in two of the three ranked positions for the Men’s Production Division overall.

Tanfoglio/EAA Corp Dominate 4 Divisions Simon “JJ” Racaza rounded out the Men’s portion, shooting his Tanfoglio Gold Team Pistol in the division with the second largest participation of the event. With over 400 competitors, the Men’s Open Division maintained a fierce battle from top to bottom as point margins remained slim throughout the shoot. In the end, through both skill and determination, JJ shot his way into the winners circle and a second place finish to bring home the silver medal.

In a dominating performance, the Tanfoglio/EAA Corp team, using a combination of the Stock 2 Pistol, the Limited Model Pistol, and the Gold Team pistol; leave France with 3 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal and 1 Bronze medal, across 4 different divisions (Men’s Production, Men’s & Women’s Standard, and Men’s Open), to add to the growing collection. After making a mark by taking all three medals in the Men’s production division, and First in the Women’s, at the last IPSC World Shoot; Tanfoglio places another note in the history books by becoming the first pistol manufacturer to win medals across this many divisions.
