When the Dyserth Times was contacted by a concerned member of the public to say that the P. & O. Lloyd bus service through the village had ceased since November, I was happy to investigate and find out what was going on.
The regular services connecting upper and lower Dyserth are a lifeline for some and being able to hop on to get to Prestatyn or Rhyl is important to many villagers.
It was, therefore, reassuring, when I met up with Transportation Operations Manager for P.& O. Lloyd Buses, Suzanne Lloyd, to hear that this was no more than a rumour and there was nothing to worry about. The service will continue as outlined in the December issue of the Dyserth Times.
Ms Lloyd was happy to present me with a printed out copy of the timetable and assured me that “We are a rural bus company, serving local people”.
