There is life after high school. AND NO ONE PREPARES STUDENTS FOR IT BETTER THAN WIN. WIN Learning is unlike any other program you’ve ever seen. The entire system is geared toward helping students succeed. And schools succeed. And businesses succeed. And entire communities succeed.
Our system goes beyond helping students earn diplomas. WIN provides schools with
the tools necessary to prepare them for the future, whether it’s college, a trade school, the military or workplace.
Our Career-Driven Education model creates a true EDUCONOMY. A system where
data drives insight, enabling government agencies, local and national employers, and educators to collaborate and deliberate on informed policy decisions.
The result? An entire system for success in which supply, demand and career pathways
meet to prepare and motivate young adults to participate in the job market and to be a valuable part of their community.
“WIN Courseware creates the connection with students that there is relevance to what’s happening here and what’s happening in the future. The epiphanies start occurring.” RICHARD MARTINEZ SUPERINTENDENT, POMONA UNITED SCHOOL DISTRICT
A System for Success. There are two main components to the WIN Career-Driven Education model. STRATEGIC COMPASS ®, which guides governments, advocates, schools, parents and ultimately students. And CAREER READINESS COURSEWARE®, which students use to develop and refine the skills necessary to get on their pathway to success.
It makes you want to learn more. It gives you the desire to go and take it all in. - BRIAN G., SENIOR
Strategic Compass DIRECTING THE COURSE OF MEANINGFUL, EFFECTIVE EDUCATION. Information can be a powerful tool. And the WIN Strategic Compass gives you plenty of it.
Our system provides real-time labor market information for key industries, including
current and projected wages, job demands, employer needs and employer gaps, where real opportunities are waiting. With Strategic Compass, the picture is clear and students can realize their pathway to any career.
This comprehensive, easy-to-access data from Strategic Compass gives advocates and
policy makers the solid information they need to direct budgets and initiatives. It gives educators the foundation to make meaningful curriculum change. And it gives guidance counselors unparalleled insight and perspective.
I have a knowledge and a skill and the tools to make a living and provide for myself and maybe a family one day. - PHILIP E., SENIOR
INDIVIDUAL CAREER PATHWAYS REPORT This personalized take-away gives a guidance counselor the ability to help a student determine a clear, viable path, and make the pivotal connection between their education and their ability to work and earn a living.
mySTRATEGIC™ COMPASS Designed for students and parents, this interactive program lets students enter their individual preferences—their interests, values and goals—to find matching careers. Then it provides important information about those careers, such as the education and skill levels required, as well as economic and labor forecasts.
In the real world there’s not always going to be somebody there to hold your hand. - DIANA F., SENIOR
Career Readiness Courseware CLOSING THE SKILLS GAP. Thanks to Strategic Compass we know what jobs are in demand now and in the future, and we know what skills job hunters will need to fill those positions. So our next step is to empower students with this knowledge, and the core career skills they need to succeed.
That’s where Career Readiness Courseware comes in. This world-class, e-learning
framework is aligned to state standards and national proficiency tests. So students can prepare for their success on key exams, while augmenting their foundational skills for careers.
There are nine comprehensive subjects with up to seven skill levels developed to
hone college-and-career-ready skills.
It gives you that extra boost of confidence to go to college or to be out in the work force. - PAIGE R., SENIOR
FIRST: We want students to succeed, not be bored or frustrated. So for each subject, students are individually tested to determine their correct skill level and appropriate starting point.
THEN: Once they begin, students progress at their own pace, receiving immediate and relevant feedback during each lesson. To help make the education/career connection, the system is designed so that students can view the jobs for which they are now qualified, along with the pathways to potential jobs that require continued progress up the educational ladders.
It’s completely changed my life. It’s driven me to a better future. - JONATHAN G., SENIOR
AND THEN, SOFT SKILLS: According to industry leaders, businesses and college admissions offices, demonstrating professional attitudes and work habits is the ticket to upward mobility in the 21st Century economy. 1
Heeding this call, WIN developed the Soft Skills Curriculum to teach students
often-overlooked attitudinal and behavioral competencies. Professionalism, effective communication, teamwork, collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking are an essential part of our comprehensive approach to preparing students for success and providing future employers with workplace-ready candidates.
FINALLY: Our students are prepared. Whether they are sitting for a Career Readiness Certification such as WorkKeys ®, a high stakes CommonCore Assessment, or across the table at an interview. 1

Caps off. For some, life after high school is college, a two-year school, a trade school, the military or a skilled job. For others, it’s unskilled labor with low salaries, minimal benefits, little job security or even unemployment.
At WIN, we know that education can be the difference between a life spent struggling,
and a life spent achieving. Our system gives students the tools, confidence and skills necessary to excel, not just in school, but also in life. Since 1996, WIN has been an innovator in matching education to workforce requirements, strengthening partnerships between schools and communities, and—for more than 10 million WIN learners worldwide—our integrated approach has been a game changer.
