At Nativity Pilgrimage, we are thrilled to offer this meaningful opportunity for personal encounters with the divine as we walk together. Wishing you a rewarding and safe journey. May God bless and guide you every step of the way!

PilgrimagePrayer

Beginning of Pilgrimage

All-powerful God, you always show mercy toward those who love you, and you are never far away from those who seek you. Remain with your servants on this holy pilgrimage and guide their way in accordance with your will. Shelter them with your protection by day, give them the light of your grace by night, and, as their companion on the journey, bring them to their destination in safety. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

May the Lord be our companion along the way. Amen. May the Lord grant that the journey we begin, relying on him, will end happily through his protection. Amen.

Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, pray for us!

PrayertoSt.James

(Patron Saint of Pilgrims)

Saint James, Apostle, chosen among the first. You were the first to drink the Cup of the Master, and you are the great protector of pilgrims; make us strong in faith and happy in hope on our pilgrim journey following the path of Christian life and sustain us so that we may finally reach the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Common Prayers

Our

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Fat Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man.

For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

PRAYER TO THE

Sacred Heart of Jesus

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, filled with infinite love, broken by my ingratitude yet loving me still. Accept the consecration that I make to you of all that I am and all that I have. Take every faculty of my body and soul and draw me day by day, nearer and nearer to your Sacred Heart, and there, as I can understand the lesson, teach me your blessed ways. Amen.

PRAYER TO THE

Immaculate Heart of Mary

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, full of goodness, show your love towards us. Let the flame of your heart, O Mary, descend on all people. We love you immensely. Impress true love in our hearts so that we have a continuous desire for you. O Mary, gentle and humble of heart, remember us when we are in sin. You know that all men sin. Give us, by means of your Immaculate Heart, spiritual health. Let us always see the goodness of your motherly heart and may we be converted by means of the flame of your heart. Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Hail Holy Queen

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.

To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Amen.

Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

The Angelus

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.

R/ And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary, full of grace...

Behold the handmaid of the Lord.

R/ Be it done unto me according to thy word.

Hail Mary, full of grace...

And the Word was made Flesh.

R/ And dwelt among us. Hail Mary, full of grace...

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ, thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by his passion and cross be brought to the glory of his resurrection, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Lady of Angels

O Virgin of the Angels, who has for centuries at the Portiuncula, hear the prayer of your children, who trust in you.

From this truly holy place and the habitation of the Lord, so dear to the heart of Saint Francis, you have always invited all men to love.

Your tender eyes assure us of a never-failing motherly help and a promise of divine help to all those who humbly have recourse to your throne or who, from afar, turn to you to ask for help.

You are, indeed, our sweet Queen and our only hope.

O Lady of the Angles, obtain for us, through the intercession of blessed Francis, pardon for our sins, help us to keep away from sin and indifference, so that we shall be worthy of calling you our Mother for evermore.

Bless our homes, our toil, and our rest by giving us that same serenity we experience within the walls of the Portiuncula, where hate, guilt and tears turn into a song of joy like that once was sung by the Angels and the seraphic Francis.

Help those who are in need and hungry, those who are in danger of body and soul, those who are sad and downhearted, those who are sick and dying.

Bless us, your most beloved children, and we pray you bless also with the same motherly gesture all those who are innocent, together with those who are guilty; those who are faithful, together with those who have gone astray; those who believe, together with those who are in doubt.

Bless all humanity so that all men, acknowledging that they are God’s children, would find through love, real Peace, and real Good. Amen.

Anima Christi

PRAYER

Soul of Christ, sanctify me, Body of Christ, save me, Blood of Christ, inebriate me, Water from the side of Christ, wash me, Passion of Christ, strengthen me, O good Jesus, hear me. Hide me within your wounds, keep me close to you, defend me from the evil enemy, call me at the hour of my death, and bid me to come to you, to praise you with your saints, forever and ever.

Amen.

St.Michael

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

ACT OF

Contrition

O my God,

I am heartily sorry for having offended you, and I detest all my sins because of your just punishments, but most of all because they offend you, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin.

Amen.

Pilgrimage

Blessed are you, O God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. From all races of the earth, you have chosen a people dedicated to you, eager to do what is right. Your grace has moved the hearts of these, your friends, to love you more deeply and to serve you more generously. We ask you to bless them so that they may tell of your wonderful deeds and give proof of them in their lives. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

May God, the Lord of heaven and earth, who so graciously has accompanied you on this pilgrimage, continue to keep you under his protection.

Amen.

May God, who gathered all his scattered children in Christ Jesus, grant that you will be of one heart and one mind in Christ.

Amen.

May God, whose goodness inspires in you all that you desire and achieve, strengthen your devotion with his blessing.

Amen.

St. Joseph A PRAYER TO

To you, O blessed Joseph, do we come in our tribulation, and having implored the help of your most holy Spouse, we confidently invoke your patronage also.

Through that charity which bound you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and through the paternal love with which you embraced the Child Jesus, we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood and with your power and strength to aid us in our necessities.

O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ. O most loving father, ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence.

O our most mighty protector, be kind to us and from heaven, assist us in our struggle with the power of darkness.

As once you rescued the Child Jesus from deadly peril, so now protect God's Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Shield, too, each one of us by your constant protection so that, supported by your example and your aid, we may be able to live piously, to die in holiness, and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.

PRAYER TO

St. Benedict A

Admirable Saint and Doctor of Humility, you practiced what you taught, assiduously praying for God's glory and lovingly fulfilling all work for God and the benefit of all human beings. Guard us against poisoning of the body as well as of mind and soul, and thus be truly a "Blessed" one for us. Amen.

PRAYER TO

t. Anthony f Padua

St. Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the special power of restoring lost things, grant that I may find [name the item] which has been lost. At least restore to me peace and tranquility of mind, the loss of which has afflicted me even more than my material loss. To this favor, I ask another of you: that I may always remain in possession of the true good that is God. Let me rather lose all things than lose God, my supreme good. Let me never suffer the loss of my greatest treasure, eternal life with God. Amen.

Dear Saint Barbara, powerful protector of those who face adversity, I turn to you in my time of need. I ask for your courage and faith as I face the challenges that come my way. May I always be inspired by your unwavering spirit and devotion to God, and may I never lose sight of the hope within me. Help me to be bold and steadfast, to always trust in the Lord, even when things seem impossible. I pray this in your holy name, Saint Barbara. Amen.

Prayerforthemilitary

St. Barbara, you are stronger than the tower of a fortress and the fury of hurricanes. Do not let lightning hit me, thunder frighten me, or canons' roar jolt my courage or bravery. Stay always by my side so that I may confront all the storms and battles of my life with my head held high and a serene countenance. Winning all the struggles, may I, aware of doing my duty, be grateful to you, my protector, and render thanks to God, the Creator of heaven, earth, and nature, who has the power to dominate the fury of the storm and to mitigate the cruelty of war. St. Barbara, pray for us. Amen.

PRAYER TO

St.CallistusI

Saint Callistus, you came from slavery. Though you suffered greatly, God used those sufferings to form you into a merciful man who sought to reconcile every sinner with Him. St.GregoryI

Saint Gregory the Great, you loved God, coming to know Him through prayer and study and to serve Him with all your heart. God transformed what you gave into a solid foundation upon which He would grow His Church. Jesus, I trust in You.

St. Ignatius Of Antioch

Almighty God, we praise your Name for your bishop and martyr Ignatius of Antioch, who offered himself as grain to be ground by the teeth of wild beasts that he might present to you the pure bread of sacrifice. Accept, we pray, the willing tribute of our lives and give us a share in the pure and spotless offering of your Son Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.

Saint Ignatius of Antioch, you were highly blessed to be part of the earliest days of the Church. You were touched by Christ, made the radical commitment to follow Him, served as a bishop, and died courageously and joyfully as a martyr. Please pray for me that I will discover what you discovered and believe what you believed so that I will also long for nothing other than to be in the service of God’s will, sacrificially laying my life down. Saint Ignatius of Antioch, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You. Amen.

PRAYER TO

St. Clement I

We beg you, Master, be our help and strength. Save those among us who are oppressed, have pity on the lowly, and lift up the fallen. Heal the sick, bring back the stray, and feed the hungry. Release those in prison, steady those who falter, and strengthen the fainthearted. Let all nations come to know you, the one God, with your Son Jesus Christ, and us your people and sheep of your pasture. Do not keep count of the sins of your servants, but purify us through the bath of your truth and direct our steps. Help us to walk in holiness of heart and to do what is good and pleasing in your eyes and in the eyes of our rulers.

Master, let your face shine on us to grant us every good in peace, protect us by your powerful hand, and deliver us from every evil by the might of your arm. Grant us and all who dwell on this earth peace and harmony, O Lord. Amen. St. Clement, pray for us.

Amen.

St.Cyrilof Alexandria

Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us Your servant, St. Cyril of Alexandria, as an example of holiness. Help us to imitate the love of You he showed in choosing to devote his life to You as a priest and bishop.

St. Cyril of Alexandria, you grew up witnessing as your uncle, Theophilus, served God in His Church. Following in your uncle’s footsteps, you chose to follow God’s call to be ordained.

You worked to combat heresy and to do all you could to preserve the truth. Pray for me that I may always be eager to serve God in whatever ways He calls me to. Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen.

Mother Teresa PRAYER TO

Mother Teresa of Calcutta, your deep and abiding longing for God drove you to seek him in the faces of all you encountered, from the richest of the rich to the poorest of the poor. PRAYER TO

Our Lady of Guadalupe

O Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas, grant to our homes the grace of loving and respecting life in its beginnings, with the same love with which you conceived in your womb the life of the Son of God. Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Fair Love, protect our families so that they may always be united and bless the upbringing of our children.

Our hope, look upon us with pity, teach us to go continually to Jesus, and if we fall, help us to rise again and return to Him through the confession of our faults and our sins in the Sacrament of penance, which gives peace to the soul.

We beg you to grant us a great love of all the holy Sacraments, which are, as it were, the signs that your Son left us on earth.

Thus, Most Holy Mother, with the peace of God in our consciences, with our hearts free from evil and hatred, we will be able to bring to all others true joy and peace, which come to us from your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

Our Lady of Fatima PRAYER TO

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you to inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of redemption recalled therein, may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Redeemer.

Amen.

PRAYER TO

Our Lady of Loreto

Oh Mary, Immaculate Virgin, for the sake of your blessed house, which we, the angels, moved to the pleasant hills of Loreto, turn your benevolent eyes toward us. For the holy wall within which you were born and lived as a child, with prayers and the most sublime love; for the fortunate walls that listened to the greetings of the angel who called you: “Blessed among all women” and which remind us of the incarnation of the word in your purest bosom; for your blessed house, where you lived with Jesus and Joseph, and which became during the centuries the fervently longed-for destination of the saints, who considered themselves lucky to kiss fervently your sacred walls, bestow upon us the graces which we humbly ask, and the fortune of coming to heaven after the exile, to repeat to you the greetings of the angel: HAIL MARY.

Amen.

PRAYER TO

Our Lady of Medjugorje

O Mother of goodness, love, and mercy, I love you infinitely and offer myself to you. By means of your goodness, your love, and your grace, save me. I desire to be yours. I love you infinitely and desire you to protect me.

From the depth of my heart, I pray to you, Mother of Goodness.

Let me gain heaven by means of it. I pray you, by your infinite love, to give me the grace so that I may love every man as you have loved Jesus Christ. I pray you give me the grace to be merciful towards you.

I offer myself to you completely and desire that you follow my every step because you are full of grace, and I desire that I will never forget this. And if, by chance, I should lose grace I pray you to restore it to me once more. Amen. Amen.

PRAYER TO

Our Lady of Lourdes

O ever-Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, health of the sick, refuge of sinners, comforter of the afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings; look with mercy on me.

By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary, whence you dispense your favors, and already many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal. I come, therefore, with complete confidence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the grant of my requests (mention your petition). Through gratitude for your favors,

I will endeavor to imitate your virtues, that I may one day share your glory and bless you in eternity. Amen.

PRAYER TO

Our Lady of Coromoto

Beautiful Lady Mary, Virgin Mother of the Redeemer, with you, we praise and glorify the Father in the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. We beseech you that, just as in Coromoto, you guided the steps of the Indians towards the baptismal grace, you may now capture the heart of the Venezuelans and bring them to the renewal of their faith. Virgin of Coromoto, patron of Venezuela, bless the evangelistic action of the Church in our Country so that she might be the fortress and defense of the faith of your children and the beginning of a renewal of the Christian customs. Amen.

Prayersfor special circumstances

All praise and glory is Yours, Lord our God, for You have called us to serve You in love.

Bless (name) so that he/she may bear this illness in union with your Son’s obedient suffering. Restore him/her to health and lead him/her to glory. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Merciful God, God of our salvation, I pray that your Spirit would burn away every veil and every blinder over the heart and mind of [who I’m praying for].

Let every veil and every blinder the Enemy has placed over their heart and mind be utterly removed so that they may see the glory of God in the face of Jesus.

Jesus, I pray you would reveal yourself to them, Lord. Walk into their lives. Make yourself known! May they see you, encounter you, and receive you.

Let the light of God shine in their heart to give them the knowledge of God in the face of Christ. In Jesus’ name, I pray! Amen.

PRAYER FOR THE

The Imprisoned

Lord, you offer freedom to all people. We pray for those who are in prison. Break the bonds of fear and isolation that exist. Support with your love: prisoners, their families and friends, prison staff, and all who care for them. Heal those who have been wounded by the activities of others, especially the victims of crime. Help us to forgive one another, act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly together with Christ in His strength and in His Spirit, now and every day. Amen.

PRAYER FOR A

Difficult Marriage

Dear God, we come before you today with heavy hearts, seeking your guidance and healing for our struggling marriage.

We feel the weight of our difficulties and ask that you pour your love and grace into our hearts, helping us to forgive each other, communicate openly, and rediscover the commitment we once shared. Grant us the strength to overcome our challenges, to listen with compassion, and to prioritize our love for one another. Renew our bond, mend our brokenness, and guide us towards a path of reconciliation and unity. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
