“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ”

John 14:6

Introduction

When we created this prayer book, our hope was to offer our pilgrims something truly special a companion they could carry with them and actively use throughout their spiritual journey. It was a profound honor to present the very first copy to His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, who blessed it. (pictured above with Nativity CEO Khaled Jacoub)

Prayer is at the heart of every pilgrimage. Alongside our visits to holy sites and sacred shrines, we will dedicate time to prayer and reflection. This prayer book has been carefully prepared to guide and support you as you seek a deeper connection with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

At Nativity Pilgrimage, we are grateful to share this resource with you and to walk alongside you on this sacred path. We wish you a safe and rewarding journey, filled with grace and blessing. May God’s presence guide and sustain you every step of the way.

Dear

This prayer book has been prepared especially for you as a companion on your sacred journey. Think of it as more than just pages of prayers. It’s meant to guide your heart, lift your spirit, and help you draw closer to Christ with every step of your pilgrimage.

Within these pages, you will find Scripture, reflections, the Holy Rosary, and prayers of the Saints. They are included to help you prepare for each visit, pray more deeply at the holy sites, and reflect afterward on how God is speaking to you. We hope this experience will be a lifechanging encounter for you, returning with cherished memories and a renewed spirit — ready to live as a disciple and an ambassador of the Gospel in your community.

All of us at Nativity Pilgrimage are honored to serve you, not simply as a travel company, but as a Catholic mission dedicated to helping souls encounter Christ. May this journey be safe, sacred, and transformative, and may this prayer book be a true blessing for your walk with the Lord.

With prayerful blessings,

Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

BEGINNING PILGRIMAGE

Prayer

All-powerful God, you always show mercy toward those who love you, and you are never far away from those who seek you. Remain with your servants on this holy pilgrimage and guide their way in accordance with your will. Shelter them with your protection by day, give them the light of your grace by night, and, as their companion on the journey, bring them to their destination in safety. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

May the Lord be our companion along the way. Amen. May the Lord grant that the journey we begin, relying on him, will end happily through his protection. Amen.

Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, pray for us!

Saint James PRAYER TO

Saint James, Apostle, chosen among the first. You were the first to drink the Cup of the Master, and you are the great protector of pilgrims; make us strong in faith and happy in hope on our pilgrim journey following the path of Christian life and sustain us so that we may finally reach the glory of God the Father.

Amen.

Apostle’s Creed

IbelieveinGod,

The Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell; On the third day, he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Nicene Creed

IbelieveinoneGod,

The Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible

I believe in one Lord Jesus Chri the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all age God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.

PRAYER TO THE

Sacred Heart of Jesus

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, filled with infinite love, broken by my ingratitude yet loving me still. Accept the consecration that I make to you of all that I am and all that I have. Take every faculty of my body and soul and draw me day by day, nearer and nearer to your Sacred Heart, and there, as I can understand the lesson, teach me your blessed ways.

Amen.

TO THE

Immaculate Heart of Mary PRAYER

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, full of goodness, show your love towards us. Let the flame of your heart, O Mary, descend on all people. We love you immensely. Impress true love in our hearts so that we have a continuous desire for you. O Mary, gentle and humble of heart, remember us when we are in sin. You know that all men sin. Give us, by means of your Immaculate Heart, spiritual health. Let us always see the goodness of your motherly heart and may we be converted by means of the flame of your heart.

Amen.

Anima Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me, Body of Christ, save me, Blood of Christ, inebriate me, Water from the side of Christ, wash me, Passion of Christ, strengthen me, O good Jesus, hear me. Hide me within your wounds, keep me close to you, defend me from the evil enemy, call me at the hour of my death, and bid me to come to you, to praise you with your saints, forever and ever.

Amen.

Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

ACT OF

Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you, and I detest all my sins because of your just punishments, but most of all because they offend you, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin. Amen.

END OF PILGRIMAGE

Prayer

Blessed are you, O God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. From all races of the earth, you have chosen a people dedicated to you, eager to do what is right. Your grace has moved the hearts of these, your friends, to love you more deeply and to serve you more generously. We ask you to bless them so that they may tell of your wonderful deeds and give proof of them in their lives. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

May God, the Lord of heaven and earth, who so graciously has accompanied you on this pilgrimage, continue to keep you under his protection.

Amen.

May God, who gathered all his scattered children in Christ Jesus, grant that you will be of one heart and one mind in Christ.

Amen.

May God, whose goodness inspires in you all that you desire and achieve, strengthen your devotion with his blessing.

Amen.

“But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF

Fatima

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you to inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of redemption recalled therein, may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Redeemer. Amen.

Guadalupe

O Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas, grant to our homes the grace of loving and respecting life in its beginnings, with the same love with which you conceived in your womb the life of the Son of God. Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Fair Love, protect our families so that they may always be united and bless the upbringing of our children. Our hope, look upon us with pity, teach us to go continually to Jesus, and if we fall, help us to rise again and return to Him through the confession of our faults and our sins in the Sacrament of penance, which gives peace to the soul. We beg you to grant us a great love of all the holy Sacraments, which are, as it were, the signs that your Son left us on earth. Thus, Most Holy Mother, with the peace of God in our consciences, with our hearts free from evil and hatred, we will be able to bring to all others true joy and peace, which come to us from your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF Palestine

O Mary Immaculate, Gracious Queen of Heaven and of Earth, behold us prostrate before thy exalted throne. Full of confidence in thy goodness and in thy boundless power, we beseech thee to turn a pitying glance upon Palestine, which more than any other country belongs to thee, since thou hast graced it with thy birth, thy virtues and thy sorrows, and from there hast given the Redeemer to the world.

Remember that there especially thou wert constituted our tender Mother, the dispenser of graces. Watch, therefore, with special protection over thy native country, scatter from it the shades of error, for it was there the Sun of Eternal Justice shone. Bring about the speedy fulfilment of the promise, which issued from the lips of Thy Divine Son, that there should be one fold and one Shepherd.

Obtain for us all that we may serve the Lord in sanctity and justice during the days of our life, so that, by the merits of Jesus and with thy motherly aid, we may pass at last from this earthly Jerusalem to the splendors of the heavenly one. Amen.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF

Medjugorje

O Mother of goodness, love, and mercy, I love you infinitely and offer myself to you. By means of your goodness, your love, and your grace, save me. I desire to be yours. I love you infinitely and desire you to protect me. From the depth of my heart, I pray to you, Mother of Goodness. Let me gain heaven by means of it. I pray you, by your infinite love, to give me the grace so that I may love every man as you have loved Jesus Christ. I pray you give me the grace to be merciful towards you.

I offer myself to you completely and desire that you follow my every step because you are full of grace, and I desire that I will never forget this. And if, by chance, I should lose grace I pray you to restore it to me once more.

Amen.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

Saint Joseph PRAYER TO

To you, O blessed Joseph, do we come in our tribulation, and having implored the help of your most holy Spouse, we confidently invoke your patronage also. Through that charity which bound you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and through the paternal love with which you embraced the Child Jesus, we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood and with your power and strength to aid us in our necessities.

O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ. O most loving father, ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence.

O our most mighty protector, be kind to us and from heaven, assist us in our struggle with the power of darkness.

Saint Francis of Assisi PRAYER

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Amen.

Mother Teresa PRAYER TO OF CALCUTTA

Mother Teresa of Calcutta, your deep and abiding longing for God drove you to seek him in the faces of all you encountered, from the richest of the rich to the poorest of the poor. You taught us to find our full human dignity in upholding the dignity of others: The sick and the outcast, the destitute and the dying, and all the world honored you with the title of Mother. Teach us still, Mother Teresa, for we, too, yearn for our Lord, forgetting that he is all around us. We humbly beg your intercession that the Lord God may turn us from our indifference, turn us from our fear, and send us forth into the depths of encounter, Into the fullness of compassion, that we may look upon our sisters and brothers in the scandal of their suffering, and like you, behold the face of our Savior.
