This year will mark 22 years of having bred heifer production sales, which began in 2000 with Brad Hook and the “No Bull” Bred Female sale. Through all of these years, what we find to be most astonishing and humbling, is just how many customers and friends have attended and bought from many or most of these sales, and yet every year we are gratified to be greeted with more new faces along the way. We certainly appreciate the loyalty and enjoy the feedback and success stories from those that have purchased our genetics over the years. We are also grateful to each and every one of you for taking the time out of your extremely hectic schedules to come and evaluate our program! We fully understand that there are a multitude of other places that you could purchase your needs from.

Our hope is that you find the genetics represented here, offer an opportunity for you to add value to your operation from a program that stands behind its product 100% More than two decades ago we recognized, what we felt, was a need in the Simmental gene-pool for a more efficiently constructed yet maternal oriented type female. A cow that would function and produce at an exceptional level under real world environmental factors. With this in mind we made a commitment to concentrate solely on producing and marketing highly maternal bred females, rather than fixating on the show heifer market as many respectable breeders have chosen to do. We appreciate the fact that our unwavering commitment to producing highly efficient, functional cattle that are productive, fertile, and long lasting, is able to be utilized outside of our operation. We concentrate very hard on building up from cow families that have these inherent traits deeply embedded in their heritage. It leads to a much higher degree of consistency in the success of generational progression. To further enhance our genetics we have been working diligently to isolate particular outliers within our gene pool that will consistently allow an advantage for the customers that require further growth and performance without effectively sacrificing that invaluable efficiency and capaciously big bodied design that we demand in order to produce cows that thrive on forage alone, without additional supplementation.

Most importantly we want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that helps us throughout the year. We are incredibly blessed with family, friends, and neighbors that work around here as needed.

Many of you adjust your schedules at a moment’s notice to come help. Also, brother Eric for stopping whatever he’s working on, to get whatever I’ve broke, back up and running. A little different twist to the “Donna” offering in lot 3. Rather than embryo’s or pregnancies, we decided to offer a beautiful baldy fall heifer calf from one of our freshest matings available.

We’ve discovered that Relentless works extremely well on our big bodied, easy flushing Donna females. Therefore, it seemed only logical to work Donna 8302 donor that way. Though this prospect is young, we couldn’t be more pleased with the results!

Recipient dam is a 5-year-old Jorgenson bred commercial Angus cow that is fertile and milks well, Recipient dam sells with the calf.

She’s got the “wedge shape” that true cow-men have come to realize, is an immeasurable trait, yet of the utmost importance in a production oriented program. She combines this with impeccable skeletal structure and hoof quality while maintaining an attractiveness and presence that has drawn the attention of a few judging teams this fall.

However, she’s not completely individualized in these merits. Aside from having three extremely good full sisters following in this catalog, a full brother-in-blood, Sandeen High Profile garnered some attention a couple years ago for nearly the same attributes. Unfortunately, he was met with untimely demise and was unable to ever prove his true breeding value.

In our mind this is an ideal individual to propagate for Purebred Simmental progression in order to replicate the traits that we should all deem important.

This female’s pedigree represents two of the greatest bovine that have ever grazed the pastures of the Sandeen Ranch, 1143Y and 8386. A female that is powerfully constructed from a skeletal standpoint with just a bit more size than your average Sandeen cow. She’s great structured with excellent hair quality and a more attractive profile than her photo might suggest.

Her full sister, Sandeen Donna 7838, was the 2018 Buildin’ a Brand selection of two of the best cowboys in all of Texas, Joe Seale Show Cattle and Shipwreck Cattle Co.

Her full sister topped the 2020 Buildin’ A Brand sale at $80,000 going to Ferguson Show Cattle, OH. This is a growthier female with more frame than some, yet is able to compensate with plenty of mass and dimension, width of hip, and stoutness of bone.

0326 did suffer an injury to a rear foot when she was a calf, which caused the foot to grow in a manner that only affects her from a cosmetic standpoint. She is still extremely fluid in her movement and it will, in no way, affect her genetically.
