It is with quite a bit of excitement that we present this year’s lineup of Show Heifer & Steer prospects. The boys have been hard at work breaking and clipping this year’s set of calves and we truly feel we have something for everyone.

This year’s set is as deep and multi faceted as we have ever put together.

Over the course of the last few years we have put an emphasis on acquiring a maternal oriented donor battery capable of producing not just show heifers but also good useful cattle. These donors are just starting to hit their strides in production and we look forward to the matings we have coming for 2020. Our goal has always stayed the same we aren’t looking to just sell you one calf, we look forward to working with each of you and your families for years to come.

We are especially proud of the job the boys have done getting this group put together. The calves are gentle and are use to young people working on them. As the boys continue to grow their responsibilities in the show barn grow right with them and we can’t think of a better way to raise a family.

On top of the show heifer and steer prospects we will again offer up a high quality and useful set of bred heifers sale weekend. These females are raised to produce results for your program and are the type and kind to thrive in this country. We didn’t get a chance to get them gathered prior to picture week but we will post some pictures on them on Facebook closer to sale day. Trust me if you have liked the breds in the past you’ll really like this year’s set.

After much thought we have decided to offer a new program for Junior buyers. In the past we have raffled off a free calf, which was a great deal for one junior each year but left many hard working juniors without an added incentive to work hard on their purchases from our program. We believe strongly in the 4-H and FFA programs across this nation as it is truly the most rewarding and positive way to raise a child. With that said this year and moving forward we are looking to incentivise hard work and success by giving out sale credit to juniors who successfully exhibit their livestock purchases from the Teets Cattle Company sales. In order to qualify you must be a Junior 4-H or FFA member and must submit a backdrop picture of your success so that we can advertise your accomplishment in future sale catalogs. The payout listed below will be given in the form of sale credit to be used at any future Teets Cattle Company Sale.

The bred heifers in this year’s lineup have been developed with longevity in mind. We do not push these females for sale day, rather we develop them to give you the best product possible.

These females have been exposed to low birth weight Angus bulls, and we feel very confident that they will have little to no calving issues next spring. The females who ultra-sound checked at 4 1/2 to 5 months bred are likely safe AI to CCR Boulder, one of the top used sires in the ABS lineup. This bull is a half-blood Simmental and has seen heavy usage the last few years across the country with outstanding results.
