rope brake & ACCESSORIES The Wurtec Rope Brake is a durable roping tool used to lower wire rope down the hoistway at controlled speeds. It is equipped with reversible brake pads that allow for multiple uses before requiring replacement. A variety of accessories are available to adapt the rope brake to different environments and enhance efficiency. Used for roping or re-roping an elevator, the rope brake can greatly reduce the time required to install ropes in long hoistways.

This tool enables you to replace up to 9 wire ropes safely and efficiently. Each kits comes with complete installation instructions to guide you through the process of rope replacement.
Allows the user to lift the elevator car by clamping onto the hoist ropes right above the hitch plate. Once the clamp is in place, a hoist can be attached between it and the crosshead. Slack can then be created in the hoist ropes, allowing easy shortening of the rope at the hitch plate.
