Ed Habjan Memorial
Parent/Child Championship

The Tri-State Section officers, board members, and executive director are excited to announce a dedication in memory of our late past president, Edward J. Habjan (affectionately known as "Hubby"), who passed away in October 2024. We will honor his legacy by renaming a tournament that was very special to him: the Parent/Child Championship will now be known as the Ed Habjan Memorial Parent/Child Championship, presented by Dick's Sporting Goods.
The inaugural tournament bearing his name is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30th, at Wildwood Golf Club in Allison Park, PA. Ed's family will be attending, and his daughter, Nicole, will participate in the tournament alongside TSPGA Vice President Mike Papson, with whom Ed shared a close and long-standing professional and personal relationship. Hubby was an integral member of the PGA of America and the Tri-State Section. We miss him dearly and think of him daily. It is a source of pride for us to honor him with this annual tournament.
