Enjoy the gym, a good book, and crossword puzzles. When in Florida, I love hanging out with the grandkids and family

Name two favorite golf courses that you've played, and what makes them unique to you?
Sharon CC will always be special to me. I started there as a 12year-old caddie and eventually became a member. It's been more than 50+ years of wonderful memories. The other is Seminole Golf Club, where I've been fortunate to be around the past 18 years. It's such a special place, so much history, and defined by its simplicity. No flowers, no waterfalls, no swimming pool, no tennis courts, just a timeless golf experience.
What initially drew you to the game of Golf, and how did you get started?
We lived next door to the golf course. My father had a passion for the game. On his off golf days, he always took me out to chase the ball around. Once we were old enough, my friends and I would walk over to Buhl Golf Course (a free course) and play all day. Fun times and great memories
Who has had the biggest influence on your life or career?
Without a doubt, my parents had the greatest influence on me. They taught me that anything is possible through hard work and that you should always treat others the way you'd want to be treated. Also, the Shenango Valley professionals were great role models. Leeland Golf Course Pro Jimmy Lee/Tam O Shanter Golf Course the Kerins family, and Pro Jerry Smith/Sharon Country Club Pro John Baker.

What’s your favorite part of working with your members, students, or clients?
My favorite part was making sure every member had an enjoyable and memorable experience. I loved organizing different events and especially enjoyed playing with everyone, men, women, juniors, players of all skill levels. It never mattered who I was with. What mattered was sharing the game and creating lasting memories.
What advice would you give to aspiring PGA Professionals
Being a PGA professional today requires balance more than ever. My hope is that they never lose their passion for playing the game, whether it's sharing a round with members/guests or competing themselves.
What does being a PGA of America Member mean to you?
I am very proud to be a PGA member. Looking back, I hope that my leadership in the industry has truly made a difference in people's lives. Can you provide/list any special awards, achievements?
