Atlanta’s water and wastewater system dates back to 1872, and since that time, we have invested billions of dollars into infrastructure that supports a growing city. Our drinking water and wastewater treatment systems have undergone many expansions and improvements since their original construction. Today we are a Public Water and Wastewater Utility serving retail and wholesale customers.

The Department of Watershed Management is diligent in its responsibility to provide clean and safe drinking water, an essential for daily living and economic growth and vitality.
