LAYING THE GROUNDWORK FOR EXAM SUCCESS In December, we held practice examinations for both our Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) students, marking an important milestone for Dwight School Hanoi.
Middle Years Programme (MYP) In preparation for this year's MYP eAssessments, students completed practice exams to become familiar with IB digital exam formats, tools, and expectations. These externally IB graded exams in Grade 10 lead to official IB MYP certification and are not offered by all IB MYP schools. Learn more about IB MYP eAssessments here. Diploma Programme (DP) At the same time, our DP students began formal exam preparation as we look ahead to Dwight School Hanoi’s first graduating cohort in 2027. The practice exams supported students in building confidence, refining exam techniques, and identifying areas for focused academic support in advance of their final IB Diploma examinations in 2027.
DWIGHT DESTINATIONS Manchester City Football School Our signature travel program, Dwight Destinations, saw our Manchester City Football School High School girls’ team travel to Chiang Mai in December for an unforgettable six-day experience. The trip combined high-level competitive matches against other international schools with a strong focus on sportsmanship, individual discipline, and team growth. Beyond the pitch, students immersed themselves in local culture, strengthening their global awareness and independence. It was a powerful example of how Dwight Destinations brings learning, character development, and global experience to life, on and off the field. Annual Dwight/Franklin Schools Global Music Concert This month, our students will travel to Shanghai to take part in the Dwight Global Music Festival, held at the iconic Shanghai City Theatre. The festival brings together young musicians from across the Dwight network to perform, collaborate, and share their passion for music on an international stage. Through rehearsals, performances, and cultural exchange, students will deepen their musical skills while building confidence, global awareness, and meaningful connections with peers from other Dwight campuses and beyond. DWIGHT ATHLETICS MS/US UNIS Winter Invitational Swim Meet This month, Dwight School Hanoi will take part in the MS/US UNIS Winter Invitational Swim Meet on 17–18 January, bringing together schools from across the region for two days of competitive swimming. Our students head into the meet with confidence, thanks to a strong and dedicated swim coaching team that has helped them make significant progress in technique, endurance, and race strategy. We’re proud of how far our swimmers have come and look forward to seeing them represent Dwight with determination, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
Dwight School Hanoi Welcomes Vietnam’s VEX Robotics National Finals This month, Dwight School Hanoi will compete in Vietnam’s VEX Robotics National Finals on Saturday–Sunday, 10–11 January, and will also compete in and host the VEX IQ National Finals on 31 January–1 February. These events celebrate student innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving at the highest level and reflect Dwight’s commitment to hands-on innovative learning and world-class competitive opportunities for students. We’re especially excited to cheer on our own Dwight VEX finalists as they compete on the national stage. Learn more about our qualifying preperations here.
