2017 PERFORMANCE ANGUS BULL SALE Saturday • May 13, 2017 1:00 p.m.

On behalf of my Dad, Family and I; Thank you for taking the time to preview our First Production Bull Sale Event. After 15 years of Private Treaty Sales, we decided to offer all bulls to our customers on May 13, 2017. We will also be selling a select group of commercial females, several spring pairs as well as a select group of three in one fall pairs and a select group of two year old spring pairs nursing calves.

All cattle Bulls and Females have been hand selected and are ready to go to work for you. We breed and raise our bulls with the Commercial Producer in mind. Structural soundness and longevity is our goal. We raise the bulls in a pasture where they have room to roam, they have free choice haylage and dry hay. We feed them silage once a day on the ground, we do hand feed a 16% pellet daily feeding this pelleted feed at a rate of less than 1% of their body weight per day in feed. We grow our bulls slow with longevity in mind.

CSF Cattle Co and this bull sale is truly a group effort and couldn’t be accomplished without everyone’s help. I am blessed to have two young men full of energy and enthusiasm that help me on a daily basis. Jake Snyder, a sophomore at Rockbridge High School and Taber Burgdorf, a second year student at Blue Ridge Community College. These two young men do a great job on a daily basis and will be here to assist on sale day, please feel free to ask them about the cattle selling.

They know the farm and the cattle well. Chance Snyder was an integral part of the management of this herd for almost ten years, and he is listed as a sale consultant. Feel free to ask Chance or call him about questions or bidding on cattle. My herd vet and embryologist Allen Strecker is also a guest consignor, with us this year. Chris Wojo has been helping me market cattle since his tenure with VA Angus over twelve years ago.

• Each bull has a base price listed next to its pedigree in the sale catalog. This will be the minimum bid price for that individual. Any bull that does not get a minimum bid price during the sale will be for sale immediately following the sale first com first serve policy. At the minimum Bid Price • If you pay for and pick up your bull on sale day we will take $100 off the sale price of your bull. Bulls only this same offer does not apply to Females purchased in the sale.

• Bulls may be left at CSF Cattle Co. free of Charge until June 15, 2017 after that other arrangements can be made with CS.

ABSENTEE BIDS: Buyers unable to attend the sale may send their bids to the Auctioneer or Sale Consultants.

FEMALE SALE OFFERING: Females will sell in groups of two or three to be determined on sale day.

LIABILITY: All persons attending the sale do so at their own risk. CSF Cattle Com., and the sale staff assume no liability, for property loss or accidents that may occur.

TRUCKING: We will assist in helping you find trucking if you are in need of transportation for your new herd sire. Bovine Taxi service can be arranged.
