COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
Final Stage of the Competition for the Master’s Degree in Ophthalmology.
During the month of May, the culmination of the Competitive Competition for the Master’s Degree in Ophthalmology took place. After an exhaustive review and evaluation of the participants in the final stage of the Contest, the 3 candidates for the residency were selected: Zaida Alejandra Juárez Mendoza, Jacobo David Ferro Ovalle and Rodrigo Andrés Bautista Rodas.
Residents have begun the registration process at the Mesoamerican University. The academic program at Visualiza will begin on Tuesday, July 2. Congratulations on your acceptance to the Master’s degree, you will be a valuable addition to the team!
OPTOMETRY
GENERAL CONCEPTS OF OPTOMETRY (MODULES 1 TO 4)
With the goal of consolidating the basic concepts of optometry in practice by training vision center optometrists through case studies. This includes determining diagnoses and managing ocular conditions, following evaluation standards and accurately referring patients to hospitals.
A methodology was also practiced that included using knowledge to make “Patient Presentation” from the flow system. The practice of Biomicroscopy is being updated with supervision in all Vision Centers, as well as support in the completion of the Diploma in Detection of Ocular Pathologies.

In follow-up with our work to bring visual health to more patients, in the month of May, a day was held in the parish hall, with the support of the municipality. And they were grateful for the service that Visualiza provides, since being a community that has difficulty accessing, no institutions come to contribute to the community.
19 men, 36 women and 4 children were treated, of which 10 patients with pathologies such as cataract, pterygium, among others, were referred to the vision center.
Jorge Rocael Pacay 52 years old, was diagnosed with senile cataract in both eyes. 1 year ago Don Ángel began with the loss of his vision, which led him to worry his family, affecting his daily activities. Don Jorge is dedicated to agriculture and it was difficult for him to do his work.

Elena Hernandez Roman 74 years old, was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. She felt desperate for not being able to do her job because she could not see.

Aimed at commercial management and human talent to strengthen the parameters of use of the flow system in Clinics and Vision Centers, emphasizing the participation of each area within the system to improve the operability and efficiency of our care.
