SEVA, VISUALIZA AND BERKELEY UNIVERSITY IBD PROGRAM (INTERNACIONAL BUSSINESS DEVELOPMENT) In January of the year 2,022, Visualiza through its ally with Seva had a connection with the University of Berkeley, California, students of the IBD program (International Business Development) worked to develop a strategic marketing plan, in order to raise awareness, attract more patients in our clinic and vision centers that are located in the west of the country.

This alliance was forged and fostered to continue making Visualiza and its branches known as an integral clinic with specialists in Visual Health. ¡Thanks Seva for the support received day by day for a better development of our organization!

OUTREACH ACTIVITY IN THE

NAVAL COMMAND OF THE PACIFIC

Our outreach activities are covering more regions of the country with the support of the Guatemalan Army. On May 17, complete evaluations, cataract and pterygium surgeries were performed on low-income people in the department of Escuintla.

We continue to eradicate preventable blindness in every corner of Guatemala!

ACTIVITY IN PETÉN During the month of May, our team of promoters from the Poptún and Sayaxché of vision centers, together with the organization Enfoque Ixcán, carried out an ophthalmology outreach in the department of Quiché, where dozens of people with the desire to recover their sight were evaluated. The activity was carried out for the population of Ixcán and its surroundings; the activity provided primary visual health care and detection of eye diseases to patients.

Also our department provided evaluations in the Health Center of Santa Elena and San Benito, Petén, where most of the adulthood and young people were evaluated.

Our aim is to continue bringing eye health to people who need it and do not have the capacity to attend a vision center. With the activities carried out by our department we contribute in the development of our country.

TRANSPLANT OF

TECTOCNIC CORNEAL IN PETEN Thanks to our social aid support, Vincent Pescatore was able to donate a tectonic corneal transplant surgery. The aim of this donation was to prevent the patient from losing his right eye due to a corneal ulcer. We continue to provide visual health to people with limited resources and with this we continue to reach our social objective.

Again during the month of may we had the visit of the specialist in oculoplasty Dr. Dayna Toapanta. During her visit, patients requiring eye surgery and esthetic eye treatments were evaluated with the objective of being operated to have a better quality of life.

INFANTILE OUTREACH

IN QUETZALTENANGO CLINIC Contributing to the new generations and the future of the country, and outreach activity was held in our clinics of quetzaltenango on may 10 and 11, where lower incomes children from rural and urban areas were attended. Most of the cases detected were strabismus and eye problems. The evaluations were performed by Dr. Alcántara, specialist in ophthalmopediatrics.

WE ARE REACHING TO MORE COMMUNICATION MEDIA In order to continue reaching more people in the western area of the country and with our marketing strategy we established new advertising spaces in the local radio station “Radial Stereo 100” which is the advertising media with the highest ranking and audience in the region of Quetzaltenango.

To reinforce and complement our expansion and positioning strategy, during the month of may we started to advertise in a circuit of LED digital billboards (4 strategic points in the urban area) where our advertising spots shows the services, address and telephone numbers of the clinic.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT COURSE, Always concerned about our patients and collaborators, during the month we conducted a course with the participation of doctors, brigade members and operating room personnel, in which we addressed topics of great importance on how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, such as cardiac and respiratory arrest and airway obstruction. During the course, our team learned cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers for victims of all ages, the use of the AED (automated external defibrillator) and basic life support equipment.

INFLUENCE AND LEADERSHIP: PILLARS OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE, for us as an institution, leadership in the organization is a fundamental pillar. For this reason, during the month, a training session was held our Human Resources where tools were provided to learn about the types of leadership that exist and how to recognize leaders.

HANDLING OF EQUIPMENT FOR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF DRY EYE, as part of our training and in order to provide better service to our patients, an activity was developed for counseling and operating room where they were trained about the new equipment for diagnosis and treatment the eye deseases dry eye.

FLOW SYSTEM VISUALIZA, the continuous growth among our collaborators is something primordial, for that reason we continue training our personnel of days on the handling of flow system to increase the productivity and efficiency of the internal processes of the department.

THE MAGIC OF SERVICE, in Visualiza the most important part is our patients, that’s why every day we effort to have a better service. During the last week of the month we train our flow the value and importance of serving the patient, using a practical and trusted model, in order to impact, attract and retain our patients.

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF EMPLOYEE WELFARE, as part of the development of human talent personnel, the workshop “How to manage the improvement of the company through positive organizational psychology” was held.

In which strategies for emotional salary and behavioral triggers were presented. This in order to have better tools and methodologies for better continuous management of personnel.

CELEBRATING VISUALIZA’S MOMS, in Visualiza the Moms are fundamental for the institution and that is why we celebrated them on their day, we had the pleasure of spending time with them during this important celebration and we were able to give them a present on behalf of the institution.
