PRECISION TECHNOLOGY VERION SYSTEM UPDATE This month, we successfully upgraded and replaced the VERION surgical planning system, a cutting-edge tool that significantly improves precision in cataract surgery.

MEDICAL DEVELOPMENT As part of the development, the Optometry protocols in the social, private, and Diagnostic Center (DC) departments were reviewed and updated, as well as the AGF (fundus analysis) protocol. This work was carried out jointly with the department staff and the Medical Administrative Assistance team.

The objective was clear: to optimize the performance of the optometry staff and diagnostic studies to achieve more agile, accurate care focused on the needs of our patients.

Every improvement, whether technological or procedural, reinforces our commitment to quality, forward-thinking eye care.

SEVA AND PARTNERS – IN PERSON MEETING

During the month of March, we had the honor of participating in the SEVA & Socios In-Person Meeting, an important gathering organized as part of the Mentees Global Sight Initiative. Representing our team were Commercial Director Emilio Crespo and Architect Juan Francisco Yee, CEO of Visualiza, who joined leaders and professionals committed to eliminating avoidable blindness.

The main objectives of this meeting were: To foster trust and collaboration among partner institutions.

To share knowledge, challenges, lessons learned, skills, and successful strategies.

To closely observe how model hospitals provide comprehensive care to their patients and lead the fight against avoidable blindness in their countries.

The meeting brought together representatives from Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, and the United States, creating an enriching space for professional exchange, real-life experiences, and building lasting networks.

In March, we celebrated World Glaucoma Week. In addition to the planning of social activities and promotions by the Glaucoma Coordinator, Dr. Alejandro Sosa, glaucoma doctors participated in interviews on Radio Sonora and Guatevisión, alluding to Glaucoma Week.

COMMUNITY DAYS A Ray of Hope Our Pediatric Day Group held a very special pediatric day at the municipal school, where we had the opportunity to serve 600 children. With our hearts set on each visit, we sought more than just to evaluate: we wanted to listen, accompany, and care.

From this activity, 75 children directly benefited through our social program “Ventanitas de Luz,” an initiative that aims to detect and support children with vision problems early on, which could affect their learning and quality of life. Thanks to this program, these children now have a new opportunity to see clearly and grow with more confidence.

Committed to Vision, a successful eye health event was also held at the Sumpango Cultural Center in Sacatepéquez, with the valuable support of the Sumpango Municipal Women’s Department.

During the event, various activities focused on the community’s eye health were carried out, including:

SEVA Management Program Develop greater awareness of the importance of quality in our services and products; emphasizing the need to listen to the patient at every stage of the process, through the creation of clear, measurable, and achievable goals to evaluate progress and ensure continuous improvement.

Driving Course (Mechanical Vehicle) To provide employees with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to safely and efficiently operate a mechanically powered vehicle, encouraging their active participation in field work sessions. This seeks to optimize equipment mobility, minimize road hazards, and ensure compliance with the organization’s operational objectives.

Session Flow System Train the session team in the efficient use of the flow system, in order to optimize the processes of recording, tracking, and controlling clinical information, improving service quality, operational organization, and the patient experience during sessions.

INNOVU Galaxy Intraocular Lens To provide ophthalmologists with a comprehensive update on the features, indications, benefits, and implantation techniques of the Galaxy intraocular lens, in order to strengthen their clinical and surgical competencies, ensuring informed decision-making that promotes visual outcomes and patient safety.

Pharmacy Plan Identify the therapeutic use of all medications on the Visualiza general list, ensuring efficient patient care and proper pharmacy management. This includes understanding the main indications and precautions to guide patients and ensure the proper use of prescribed medications, as well as identifying and recognizing the legislation and regulations related to pharmaceutical establishments issued by the MSPAS.
