Frontera Tropical is the continuation of a more extensive series of paintings….the gas tanks. Frontiers are places where different cultures collide into each other; they are ‘blurred places” where it is easy to lose track of what side you are standing on. But it is also where the smuggling occurs in the most creative ways to defy authority.
