In 1921, John Ernest Dunn (Ernie) starts DunnElectric Company, but he is more interested in building and selling homes, so he makes the switch from an electrical supply business to construction, starting JE Dunn Construction Company in 1924. His philosophy is simple, treat people fairly and offer clients quality ser vice at a fair price.

Vista Del Rio, a 19-stor y apar tment building and JE Dunn’s tallest project at the time, is the first to use a climbing crane. It is also the first project that implements a peer review process, where engineers review plans before construction begins.

Bill Dunn Sr. learned the business by doing the work through a hands-on approach. He was responsible for project estimation until his father’s death in 1964. Bill and his brother ran the company together until the early 1970s and Bill takes over as president and CEO in 1974.

The entire industr y faced significant challenges, including ongoing labor shortages, rising inflation, and supply chain bottlenecks. Yet, our people came together to transform these challenges into opportunities for innovation and collaboration, showcasing the power of authentic partnerships. 2024 has been a year of reflection and celebration as JE Dunn marks our Centennial. Throughout the year we proudly honored our histor y and legacy while highlighting the people and partnerships that contributed to our success. The longevity of our company is a direct reflection of our employees’ hard work and dedication, which continue to inspire and elevate us all. Their expertise, unmatched communication, and collaboration benefit our clients, partners, and the communities we ser ve. CE N OUR CENTENNIAL We marked our Centennial by celebrating those who helped us achieve this milestone – our people, our clients, and our communities. Our reputation of building strong relationships, giving back, and putting employees first was on full display all year long. We kicked off the year by announcing our Community Impact initiative, “Building A Legacy: A Centur y of Generosity,” where employees nominated and voted for 10 nonprofit organizations to receive $100,000 grants, totaling $1 million in impact nationwide. Our Centennial campaign was an inspiring extension of our ongoing commitment to giving back, rounding out the $14.2 million our company contributed to community initiatives and organizations in 2024. Our “100 Years. 100 Stories” campaign highlighted community contributions, the Dunn family legacy, company histor y, collaborative culture, and noteworthy projects that fueled our success. Across our 26 offices, we commenced a year of celebrations by recognizing

our employees for their hard work, and hosting events to thank clients for their partnership and support over the years. To thank our employees for their dedication, ever yone received a commemorative 1924 hat and custom Centennial merchandise, proudly worn on jobsites and offices throughout the year. Founded in Kansas City, JE Dunn honored our hometown with a mural in downtown Kansas City of iconic landmarks, a highway billboard, a Centennial celebration at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, a sponsorship of the Parade of Hearts, a Centennial-themed heart representing our impact on the skyline, and a $40,000 donation to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum through JE Dunn and the Royals’ “Celebrate the Run” campaign. As we looked back on our past, we also celebrated where we are today and the exciting future we’re building together.

This demand has been reflected in our Advanced Industries, Mission Critical, and Industrial & Manufacturing markets, which have grown 200% over the last five years. These sectors demand innovative solutions and an ability to navigate complex projects at an accelerated pace. To capitalize on these opportunities and better ser ve our clients, we formed the Advanced Facilities Group (AFG), guided by dedicated leadership focused on delivering excellence in ever y aspect of our work. We collaborate with some of the largest tech companies and international clients, demonstrating our capacity to scale and seamlessly manage projects of all sizes and complexities, from local to global initiatives.

AFG AFG is structured to enhance our capabilities in managing large-scale projects while promoting collaboration among our specialized business units. Each market is led by dedicated, market-specific leadership and supported by experts in design, preconstruction, mechanical, electrical, process, and low-voltage systems. We focus on early planning, efficient resource sharing, and leveraging a national network of 26 offices to ensure rapid deployment of skilled teams to large, complex projects across the countr y. Currently, we are engaged in several high-profile projects that reflect our commitment to innovation across all sectors. As our AFG markets experience remarkable growth, our collective expertise has never been more essential. JE Dunn boasts top ten ENR rankings in semiconductor manufacturing, electronic assembly manufacturing, and data centers. Paul Neidlein ser ves as president of AFG, bringing over 30 years of industr y experience and knowledge to the role. His leadership and strong relationships help guide the team through these highly technical, complex projects on a national scale. Industrial and manufacturing facilities play a crucial role in supply chains, often driving job creation and community development. We work closely with clients in this space to meet accelerated schedules and integrate advanced automation systems across various sectors, including consumer goods, automotive/EV batteries, warehousing/logistics, and food & beverage. Brent Strength has dedicated more than half of his 20+ years at JE Dunn to leading the transformation of the Industrial and Manufacturing market from $10 million in annual revenue and two employees to a core team of over 50, generating more than $600 million annually. Brent excels in strategic leadership, empowering his team to execute effectively and driving continued success for the business unit.

Our Mission Critical team lends their expertise to data centers, which are vital for managing critical IT infrastructure. The facilities are essential for the operation of various ser vices and applications that rely on data processing and storage. We partner with a range of clients, from hyperscale data centers to colocation providers, ensuring we deliver timely and precise information to uphold strict budgets and timelines. In a world of high speed and low drag, Chris Teddy maximizes the potential of the mission critical market, leveraging over 20 years of experience to lead a team of 250 dedicated employees nationwide, generating $10 billion in revenue to date. JE Dunn is one of the leading construction companies in the semiconductor industr y. We build and upgrade complex stateof-the-art manufacturing facilities that require an amplified pre-planning and execution process throughout the project lifecycle. Mike Tilbur y draws on 20 years of experience at JE Dunn and brings a deep operations expertise to this business unit, effectively partnering with some of the nation’s largest semiconductor manufacturing companies. MISSION CRITICAL In the past five years, the industr y has witnessed an unprecedented surge in data center projects. This explosive growth is driven by the increasing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and the ever-increasing reliance on technology. As companies and consumers alike depend on reliable digital infrastructure, the industr y has faced dual challenges: supply chain disruptions and labor shortages. To navigate these challenges effectively, the need for innovative solutions and refined processes has never been greater. Our Mission Critical team understands that the success of data center projects hinges on strong partnerships between all stakeholders. By fostering a culture of cooperation and innovation, we can overcome the challenges posed by supply chain disruptions and labor shortages. We’re expanding the use of prefabrication and PreBuild facilities; optimizing labor and automation to streamline workflows; adapting supply chain strategies; and enhancing resource management. Our approach combines proven construction concepts with creative innovations to maximize cost efficiency and certainty of outcome. In 2024 alone, we had over 720 megawatts and 3.4 million SF of data center space under construction in both primar y and emerging data center markets. As JE Dunn looks to the next 100 years, these projects will define the landscape of innovation, shaping the way we connect and communicate in an increasingly digital world.

A D VA N C E D INDUSTRIES The days of vacant car dealership lots and electronic supply shortages are behind us, presenting a new challenge for the semiconductor industr y: overstocking. However, manufacturers specializing in memor y chips are operating at maximum capacity to meet rising demands driven by artificial intelligence and increased data center capacity needs. Globally, companies are investing billions to address projected semiconductor demand in the coming years. In the U.S., major manufacturing facilities — known as “mega fabs” — are being built across the countr y, including in Arizona, Idaho, Ohio, and Texas, with New York set to join soon. The CHIPS and Science Act provides subsidies to semiconductor manufacturers, aiming to regain U.S. market share and strengthen the supply chain, which is crucial for national security. JE Dunn continues to be an industr y leader in construction of these state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Our teams are proud to continue our support and partnership with these companies through our progressive build sustaining work programs as well as ground up projects for companies that support all aspects of the semiconductor supply chain and manufacturing process.

INDUSTRIAL & M A N U FA C T U R I N G Manufacturing in the United States continues to experience a resurgence. Since 2021, over 750,000 new manufacturing jobs have been created. Supply chain resilience and new technologies have catalyzed growth across nearly ever y sector. U.S. manufacturing construction spending has tripled since Januar y 2020, and JE Dunn is proud to have played a part in this critical market. Working closely with our clients to understand their operations and vision for the future is what allowed our teams to quickly deliver facilities of all sizes and scopes in 2024. In June, Georgia-Pacific, a longstanding client, commenced production at their new Dixie manufacturing plant in Jackson, Tennessee. This 900,000 SF facility, on which JE Dunn ser ved as design-builder, is the first new Dixie plant in over 30 years. Early in 2024, YKK AP also began operations at their new 400,000 SF residential window and door manufacturing plant in Macon, Georgia. These two partnerships collectively created over 320 new jobs, showcasing JE Dunn’s commitment to enriching lives through inspired people and places. JE Dunn’s expansion in the electric vehicle batter y and energy storage market continued robustly in 2024 and shows no signs of slowing down. As JE Dunn looks to its next 100 years, we are thrilled to partner with LG Chem on a new EV batter y cathode manufacturing plant in Clarksville, Tennessee. Partnerships like this are what will help us meet the demands of today while preparing us for the challenges of the future.

Many companies implemented return-to-office plans in 2024 aimed at growing revenue, strengthening company culture, and increasing employee productivity, in addition to attracting top talent. In Kansas City, we renovated Hallmark’s existing offices to provide an impactful first impression for clients and refresh working environments for associates. Shamrock Trading Corporation also unveiled its second tower — a newly constructed 12-stor y, 418,000 SF office building with a link to the first tower. Additionally, the project included several areas created to bring employees and clients together, such as a commercial kitchen with five restaurant stations and a dining area, gathering spaces for company events and presentations, an additional 30,000 SF amenity deck with firepits, a fireplace, heaters, a giant chess board, and other games. In Texas, a Houston refiner y now boasts a new administration building complete with a fitness center, credit union, and wellness clinic to support employee health and add convenience to ever yday activities. Where spaces are redefined to foster reflection and connection, we are reimagining workspaces to focus on employees’ well-being and create a sense of belonging. This approach helps professionals in all industries better show up as their true, authentic selves on the job and in their communities.

AV I AT I O N Airports around the world have rebounded impressively since the pandemic, transforming into modern travel hubs equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. A prime example is Charlotte’s new Concourse A Phase II, the first major airport expansion project to begin construction and fully open after the passage of COVID-19 relief funding. This new 10-gate concourse greets travelers with modern amenities while honoring North Carolina’s first-in-flight heritage, as the 852-foot connector to the existing terminal celebrates the exact length of the final flight of the first Wright Flyer at Kitty Hawk. Many airports are undertaking terminal expansions featuring spacious passenger areas and vibrant art installations that showcase local culture. Innovations like automated bag drop kiosks streamline checkin processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce stress. The upgrades and expansions are made possible through collaborative partnerships among airports, local governments, and private enterprises, ensuring resources and expertise are leveraged effectively. With technology keeping travelers connected while on the move, and an increasing emphasis on diverse amenities — such as expanded food options, shops, and activity zones for both adults and children — airports are transforming into enjoyable destinations that reignite the excitement of flying and make ever y journey an adventure.

LIFE SCIENCES A N D R E S E A RC H Over our 100 years in construction, JE Dunn has expanded to 26 offices and 18 states. Our Raleigh, North Carolina office has grown with the area as it has established itself as one of the world’s largest biotechpharmaceutical research and manufacturing hubs. In 2024, we worked with one of our global biopharmaceutical clients to design and build a $300M cGMP Warehouse and Lab/Administration building for one of the world’s largest biotech contract manufacturing sites. For JE Dunn, projects of all sizes and purposes require intensive, unique planning to ensure our clients’ facilities are built safely and to high-quality standards so they can manufacture and deliver life-saving medicines to patients. This project was no exception and was recognized for safety excellence after experiencing no accidents or injuries throughout its 1.5 million labor hours. Transformative research, development, and manufacturing in the life sciences sector requires intense precision and ingenuity to come up with solutions to some of the world’s most complex facilities challenges. As we enter our next 100 years, JE Dunn recognizes our resolute responsibility and commitment to our partners and the communities where we work, live, and build to embrace our clients’ values and visions for the future as our own to advance the collective greater good.

E D U C AT I O N As our world changes, so do our learning environments. Educators are looking for authentic partners to create safe, adaptable environments that enhance real-world learning and hands-on experiences for students at all levels. In 2024, we worked with our partners to create collaborative, dynamic learning spaces for K-12 and higher education that inspire young minds to become lifelong learners and future leaders in a variety of skilled crafts and career paths. Many of our projects focused on expanding or creating new specialized buildings, including early childhood learning environments, performing arts centers, and career and technical education facilities. By collaborating with our industr y and educational partners, we can imagine and realize new visions for spaces that inspire the ingenuity and grit needed to master the lessons of today in order to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

Our ability to work closely with partners from the earliest stages of design allowed us to address issues like trade capacity and tight pro formas while still ensuring efficient project completion. Our partnerships in Atlanta positioned us to meet the rising demand of sustainable development and certainty of outcomes. By aligning with like-minded clients and industr y experts, we stayed ahead of trends and implemented innovative solutions that benefited both our clients and the community on projects like Spring Quarter and Ponce City Market. In Austin, JE Dunn + Gensler’s long-standing relationship weathered the challenges from COVID-19 to complete the Sixth and Guadalupe project. Standing as the tallest building in Austin, the 66-stor y, 865-foot retail, parking, office, and multifamily apartment tower provided 2.1 million SF of space for future tenants and residents. This truly remarkable building has forever impacted the Austin skyline and marks a milestone in our 100-year histor y as the tallest project JE Dunn has built to date. The Loews Arlington Hotel project in Texas further showcased our commitment to creating spaces that enhance connections, whether it’s through providing world-class accommodations or spaces designed for collaboration and community.

Our latest projects, including two new Mid-Continent Public Libraries, provide vital access to cultural enrichment, education, and lifelong learning, offering inviting spaces for gathering and connection. We also honored spiritual needs through the expansion of Kansas City’s 140-year-old Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the newly constructed Second Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. In Athens, Georgia, the impressive Classic Center Arena, featuring 192,000 SF and an 8,500-seat capacity, is designed to host top-tier sporting events, theater productions, family shows, and concerts, ser ving as a transformative hub for the community. Through authentic partnerships, we create spaces that not only inspire and promote well-being, but also drive engagement and strengthen community ties, making a lasting impact on the areas where we build.

In 2024, JE Dunn + Monarch Build partnered with the Kansas City Current soccer team to create a one-of-a-kind home: the first professional women’s sports stadium. CPKC Stadium seats 11,500 fans, sprawls across 7 acres of the Kansas City riverfront, and ser ves to inspire millions. The Fudge Football Development Center at Baylor University added world-class facilities, allowing the university to meet modern challenges in college sports with spaces that push student-athletes to excel both on the field and in the community. The same way fans cheer on athletes to succeed at the highest level, our partners motivate us to find new ways to blend innovation, sustainability, and functionality with the latest technology and design trends into ever y project. HISTORIC P R E S E RVAT I O N As we celebrate our Centennial year, we reflect on the significant role historic structures have played in shaping both our company and the communities we ser ve. From iconic museums and churches to public buildings, our projects have helped preser ve and revitalize the landmarks that define our shared histor y. A recent example of this commitment is the renovation of the American Swedish Institute’s Turnblad Mansion and Carriage House in Minneapolis. Originally built as the Turnblad family home, this historic property has been reimagined in partnership with HGA, ensuring that future generations can continue to experience and engage with its rich cultural histor y. This project highlights how historic preser vation can preser ve the stories of people from Sweden and around the world, fostering innovation and community transformation for years to come.

JUSTICE As courthouses and correctional facilities show their age, the need for thoughtful updates has never been clearer. These spaces must prioritize efficiency, safety, and technology integration to effectively support the community and enhance the overall experience for ever yone who enters these facilities. Proper circulation and separation provide protection and security for individuals and court processes. JE Dunn helps clients reimagine courthouses that do more than deliver justice; they uplift all who enter, creating safe, dignified environments for judges, victims, and witnesses alike. In correctional facilities, the focus is on building secure and safe environments that promote healing and rehabilitation. Many of these facilities feature dedicated mental and behavioral health spaces, enabling individuals to engage in education, programs, therapy, and skills training that facilitate successful reentr y into society. Normative environments, which offer increased access to natural light, biophilia, and connection to nature, positively impact those within correctional facilities. We also help clients create environments that prioritize staff well-being with welcoming break rooms and spaces filled with natural light. Our collaborative partnerships have transformed these critical environments and will make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and communities.

In addition to their monetar y donations, our volunteers and our network of 52 Community Ambassadors generously shared their time and talents to enhance local engagement and companywide campaigns like National Volunteer Week, JE Dunn Has Hear t, and Speak Up for Suicide Prevention and Awareness. As we forge ahead into our next 100 years, we’re committed to cultivating excellence in the next generation of builders. In 2024, we continued our efforts to spread the word to K-12 students about fulfilling career paths in construction through Building the Future. Our people connected with more than 15,000 students and over 1, 400 educators this year.
