THE people of Dundalk will literally have the world at their feet on Friday night as the town is ho-ho ho-ping to enter the Guinness Book of World Records with over 4,000 people preparing for the Santa Run. Not only do all the people taking part have a chance to enter the Guinness Book of World Records but they will also be helping many charities around town with all proceeds going to worthy causes such as Lordship Children’s Respite Centre, North Louth Hospice, Mens Sheds, SNAP and SOSAD. Harp site toasts 30 jobs A NEW tenant on the former Harp Lager site in Dundalk is expected to create up to 30 full time jobs. Cellulac, the first company to convert brewery facilities for the sustainable production of lactic acid from second generation (2G) feedstocks, announced on Tuesday an agreement to lease a 6.8 acre site. The Irish Whiskey Company, which owns the site, is developing a distillery on the balance of the 13 acre site. Cellulac intends to retrofit the facility and incorporate its end-to-end See Page 2
