The 2019 St Patrick’s Day Parade in Dundalk is in danger of being cancelled following the decision by the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce not to organise it next year. In a lengthy statement released on Sunday evening the Dundalk Chamber stated that they are not able to commit to organising the event in 2019 as the main organiser, David Minto, has changed roles in his job and no longer is able to help run the parade. The chamber also
claimed that they have been left to manage the parade without help for the last two years and they called upon the local authority as well as BIDS to step up and take control of the event. “When the parade was restarted a committee was formed to act as a central point to facilitate all the different stakeholders and to plan and manage the parade.
