Dundalk FC completed a magnificent second double in three seasons to add another glorious chapter to the rich history of the club. The supporters travelled in their droves on Sunday morning to Dublin with a convoy of cars and buses heading south on the M1 towards the Aviva to cheer their heroes on.

This latest victory secured Dundalk’s fourth double with two of them coming under current manager Stephen Kenny. The popular Dubliner has now won eight major trophies during his six seasons at the club including four league titles, two FAI cups and two league cups.

Giedre case upgraded to murder inquiry Gardaí have issued a fresh plea for information regarding a 29-year old woman who has been missing from Dundalk since the end of May after the investigation was upgraded to a murder inquiry.

Giedre Raguckaite, a Lithuanian national, was last seen on Hoey’s Lane in Dundalk on May around 6pm.

On Friday they upgraded the missing persons case to a murder enquiry and appealed for anybody to come forward if they have any information about her whereabouts.

Amy picked for World Elites event

Dundalk boxer Amy Broadhurst has been selected for the upcoming Female Elite World Championships in India. Amy will travel to New Delhi with the Irish squad to take part in the second biggest competition after the Olympics where she will compete in the 64kg weight division.

Amy is one of the most decorated boxers Ireland has ever produced and is the proud holder of an amazing 15 national titles as well as being a two time European champion where she Amy Broadhurst pictured with Billy Lawlor of has won at both Junior sponsors CTI and Youth level.

21-year old Amy has made no secret of the fact that her dream is to box in the Olympics and as part of that journey she continues to impress as she bids to prove she is the best in her weight class in the country. She is currently in a training camp in Germany along with the rest of the Irish squad preparing for the Elite World Championships where she will hope to bring home yet another medal to add to her ever increasing collection.

According to her father and coach Tony, Amy is raring to go for the championships which begin on November 15.

“Amy is thrilled to have been selected for the Irish squad for the Elite World Championships in India.

She has been training really hard over the past few months which has been tough as she doesn’t get any funding. Thankfully she has recently got a sponsor on board with local company CTI offering their support and on behalf of Amy I’d like to thank Billy and everybody in CTI for that support.

They’ve been great so far and it’s a huge positive for Amy to get a bit of sponsorship behind her. It means we can concentrate on the boxing and ensure she performs at her

very best. We’d like to thank everybody who has sponsored/supported Amy over the last few months.

“With regards to the championships it is without doubt going to be a tough challenge but I have seen what she is capable of and if she performs at her best I believe she won’t be too far away from a medal.

Myself and my wife Sheila will be over in India to support Amy and we know she will do everything she can to come back with a medal,” stated Tony.

Court Briefs Donation to charity

A man who pleaded guilty to two public order charges was given the chance to avoid a conviction when ordered to pay €300 to charity. Michael Murphy (39) of 79 Oldbridge, Dundalk, admitted the offences which occurred at Dundalk Racecourse on October 6 this year. He paid €200 to court and was told to pay a further €100 by January 23 to have the case struck out.

No insurance

A man who admitted driving without insurance was banned from the road for ten years at Dundalk District Court. Darren Shevlin (30) of 55 Meadowview, Avenue Road, Dundalk, was disqualified at the time he was stopped by Gardai at Priorland Gardens on April 21 this year. Judge John Coughlan imposed 240 hours of Community Service in lieu of five months in prison and warned Mr Shevlin that if it wasn’t completed he would be sent to Mountjoy.

Banned from driving

Gavin Maguire (29) of 18 St Helena Park, Dundalk, was banned from driving for two years after pleading guilty to driving without insurance at Dundalk District Court. The defendant was stopped by Gardai at Cedarwood Park, Cox’s Demesne, on July 7 last year. Judge John Coughlan also imposed a €50 fine.

After the game Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny poured praise on his players as well as the loyal Dundalk supporters who he said had helped his team over the line.

“It’s great for everyone in the town.

This team has shown so much desire and hunger throughout the season and they have got better and better with each passing game. They are a credit to themselves and the club.

“I also have to give huge credit to our wonderful fans who came out in their droves to the Aviva.

Cup finals over the last couple of years but they stayed with their team and I think this was the biggest ever crowd we’ve brought to the Aviva.

“The cup final has managed to maintain its magic and it has really captured the public’s imagination. It’s great that we get to play the final in the national stadium and I think that really adds to the occasion.

the supporters out in the square as well on Monday evening. It was tremendous to see people of different generations come out to cheer on their team. I think the team have really created a special bond with the supporters and long may that continue. Giedre investigation upgraded to murder

Gardaí have issued a fresh plea for information regarding a 29-year old woman who has been missing from Dundalk since the end of May after the investigation was upgraded to a murder inquiry.

Giedre Raguckaite, a Lithuanian national, was last seen on Hoey’s Lane in Dundalk on May 26 around

6pm. She is described as being 5ft 5” tall, of slight build with blond hair and green eyes.

On Friday they upgraded the missing persons case to a murder enquiry and appealed for anybody to come forward if they have any information about her whereabouts.

It has been established

that Ms Raguckaite was seen on May 29 at a house in Laytown, Co Meath and Gardai now believe that she died violently.

As part of the murder investigation a forensic examination began at a house in Co Meath yesterday morning (Tuesday) but Gardai still do not know where Ms Raguckaite’s body

is or how she died.

The last known contact with Giedre Raguckaite, was a phone call with her father in Lithuania at 6.35pm time on 29 May. Gardaí have established that her phone has not been in use since the morning of 30 May, nor has there been any activity on her social media accounts while not

contact had been made with family or friends.

A Garda spokesman has asked that anybody who has seen Giedre or who may have any information to contact the Gardaí in Dundalk Garda station on 042 9388400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

The Attendance Award ceremony was held in Ardee CS. It was organised by Ms Bridget Smith, Home School Liaison Officer. 72 students were awarded certificates in recognition of not missing a day at school for the academic year 2017/2018.

Eoin’s impressive display in Ulster Eoin Murphy bowed out of Boys Golf last week with a super performance at the Ulster Boys Championship in Royal Portrush where he finished second to Thomas Higgins of Roscommon.

Higgins led from post to pillar after opening with a 66 and Murphy found himself 10 shots off the lead after shooting a five over par 76 in the first round.

However, he hauled himself back into contention with a bogey free seven under par 64 as he reeled off seven birdies to move up the leaderboard into fourth place, five shots behind Higgins.

In the final round Murphy had three birdies and one bogey for a 69 but, while that was enough

to leapfrog into second place, it wasn’t enough to haul back Higgins who also shot 69 to keep his five shot margin over the Dundalk player.

Meanwhile, Jim Dwyer (10) was the winner of Sunday’s Singles Stableford with an excellent score of 43pts.

He made full use of his 10 shots as he recorded seven three point pars out of an overall total of 15 pars while his three bogeys were each worth two points as he had shots on all three.

On the front nine, Dwyer had three point pars at the first, third and seventh as he went out in 21pts and on the way home he had three pointers at the 11th,

15th, 16th and 18th.

Hugh Reilly (21) took second place overall after shooting 41pts and edging out Charlie Monahan (10) on countback thanks to a fine back nine score of 22pts. Monaghan, however, took Category 1 while Dessie Ward (13) took Category 2 and Oliver McGinnity (20) claimed Category 3 for the second consecutive week.

Eddie Rogers (3) had the best gross with 34pts.

Garry and Ireland amputee S squad finish 13th in Mexico

Pupils donate glasses to Vision Aid Overseas

SPECSAVERS Dundalk store director, Martina Kelly, recently visited Knockbridge National School to speak with pupils about her upcoming trip to Ethiopia with charity partner Vision Aid Overseas. Specsavers Ireland has worked closely with Vision Aid Overseas for over 10 years, helping the fight against poverty in developing countries by transforming access to eye care.

The pupils at Knockbridge National School kindly collected and generously donated over 270 pairs of glasses which they presented to Martina, that will travel with her to Ethiopia.

Martina spoke to students of her upcoming two-week trip to Ethiopia, telling of the important work

that will be carried out and how she will be helping the visually impaired. Numerous eye tests will be carried out by the professional team and Martina, along with the other Specsavers team members, will teach students in the local hospital how to conduct these eye tests, prescribe glasses and detect common eye diseases. With this training, these students will then be able to provide optometry services for the community, who, otherwise, would not have access to this level of healthcare.

Speaking about her support of Vision Aid Overseas, Martina Kelly said it was vital to help improve eye health services in Africa.

“I am delighted to be embark-

ing on my second volunteering trip with Vision Aid Overseas.

After witnessing first-hand, the poverty that people with visual impairments face, it is great to be able to make a difference. Thanks to the support of the students at Knockbridge National School we can really improve the eye health of those less fortunate.”

Vision Aid Overseas is committed to creating sustainable solutions in developing countries and with the help of Specsavers, Vision Aid Overseas will provide eye care to people living in Ethiopia. With a population close to 100 million people, the country has just 300 qualified optometrists to look after the eye health needs of all its people.

Garry Hoey and his Irish international amputee teammates return from Mexico this week having finished a creditable 13th place in the 24 team tournament.

Ireland did well to qualify from a tough group which included hosts Mexico, England and Ukraine.

Two narrow opening losses to Mexico and England put pressure on the boys in Green who had to win their final match against the Ukraine by three clear goals to qualify for the final 16.

Ireland left it late but thanks to a fantastic late strike from Kevan O’Rourke the boys in green did just enough to qualify for the last 16 where they would face off against a very strong Turkish side.

There was further heartache for Ireland in the 9th/10th place playoff when they were defeated

by Kenya on penalties following a 1-1 draw in normal time. Garry managed to score his penalty but two misses from his teammates ensured Kenya claimed victory.

ever with a 2-0 victory over Colombia, a match which was of special significance for Garry as he got to captain his country for the first time.

In Ireland’s final match of the tournament they put in one of their best displays of the week as they trounced Italy 4-1 to claim 13th spot.

According to Garry the experience he had in Mexico was really fantastic and he believes

“It was a really well run tournament and I thought we did pretty well overall. We qualified from our group which was one of our big aims and in the end we’ve been beaten by Turkey, Mexico and England who all finished in the top five so I definitely think progress has been made,” stated Garry.

St Mary’s College English Week

Marist students who took part in English Week activities

The annual St. Mary’s College English Week began on Monday October 22 with games and activities mapped out to bring the passion and drama of the English classroom into, around and beyond the school halls, and included trips to An Tain Theatre for first years and to Macbeth in Dublin for the sixth years.

Monday saw the launch of the school’s lunchtime Reading Room, a place for students to relax and enjoy their favourite book in the quiet surrounds of the school library. A wholeschool edition of popular television show ‘Catchphrase’ was positioned around the school daily, so students could partake during and after school to ‘say what they saw’ and enter their answers at the end of the week. First year student Jade Ayres chose an ex-

tract from her favourite novel ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell, which she confidently read out over the intercom to the entire school, before she invited the school community to Drop Everything And Read for fifteen minutes.

Tuesday opened with a visit from Dr. Ronan Lynch, who gave the Transition Years an intensive Short-Story Writing clinic, while the first years visited An Tain Theatre to watch a private screening of ‘Wonder’, a film based on the novel of the same name by R.J. Palacio, with their English teachers. In their absence, second year student Kaithlynn Nordon chose an extract from ‘The Outsiders’

by S. E. Hinton, and instructed her school peers to Drop Everything and Read.

The Marist’s sister schools,

Catholic University School (CUS), Leeson Street, and Chanel College, Coolock, paid the college a visit on Wednesday morning to partake in the annual inter-school public speaking debate in which Noah Aigbodion (TY) placed second in his category, and Beth McMahon (second year) placed third in hers.

English Week reached its peak on Thursday and Friday with more and more students getting involved in the school competitions. Drop Everything And Read continued, while first year students submitted their entries to the FAI Short Story Writing competition they had been working on, and final submissions were taken for the winner of the Catchphrase competition, with winners of both announced over the intercom, and prizes given.

in Brief SS Dundalk Unveiling

The long awaited unveiling of the SS Dundalk memorial will take place on Sunday November 11 at 1pm to coincide with high tide. Relatives of Captain Hugh O’Neill and First Mate John Higgins will unveil the memorial, and a short prayer followed by a blessing will take place. We would encourage people to attend, as November 11 is a significant day in the calendar of world events and is the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.

On Sunday November 11 at 11am in Dundalk Presbyterian Church, the Rev John Woodside continues his series of talks, The Good News Of Jesus Christ according to Mark’s Gospel, with the topic “ The tragedy of being nearly a Christian”.

A total of 1,368 graduates were conferred with awards ranging from Higher Certificate to PhD across two days of ceremonies at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT).

Amongst the graduates, a total of 38 Postgraduate awards were conferred, including four PhDs and one Master of Research in the School of Informatics & Creative Arts, along with two PhD’s in the School of Health and Science. This brings the total number of DkIT graduates with research qualifications to date to 97, including 37 PhD graduates.

Graduates from across the North Leinster-South Ulster region attended the ceremonies alongside their families, partners and friends. During his address, Michael Mulvey highlighted that graduation is a celebration of great importance.

He thanked the graduates for their valuable contribution to the In-

stitute and its continued progression and growth. In his closing statement, Michael Mulvey spoke with pride about the huge community of graduates at DkIT that live, work and have enterprises in this region.

He also spoke about the robust global network of DkIT graduates and he invited new graduates to join the DkIT Alumni Network which has been established this year (www. dkit.ie/alumni).

The Shed is open from 10. 30 am to 12.30pm approx. each Tuesday morning at the Market House opposite the Bank of Ire-

land in Dunleer and all new members are very welcome. Come in and have a cup of tea and a chat to see the activity to see if you would like to join.

Dunleer Men’s Shed are now in their fourth year of existence. They started at the old prefab building in the ball Alley initially behind St. Brigid’s Hall but

then in recent years moved to the Market House. They have been at the Market House / Coach House ever since. Their activities include wood work, courses, outing, rings, Educational evening courses, Darts tea and chat to name but a few.

There is music session each month which attracts some new faces.

Noel Carroll memorial seat unveiled A bench in honour of one of the finest athletes this country has ever produced has been unveiled in Annagassan. The Noel Carroll Memorial Seat was unveiled last week in memory of the Irish Middle Distance runner who set European and World records in the 1960’s.

Noel was born in Annagassan in 1941 and later went to college in Villanova University in the USA. He joined the Villanova Wildcats athletics team and he would go on to win 14 national championships and

two European indoor championships for the 800 metres.

He also competed in the Olympics in Tokyo in 1964 and 1968 in Mexico.

In later years he became spokesperson for Dublin City Council and was a founder member of the Dublin City Marathon. Every year the winner of the marathon receives the ‘Noel Carroll Memorial Trophy’.

After a lap of the track at UCD in 1998 aged 57 years he had a heart attack and died.

To mark the 20th anniver-

sary of his death a bench has been unveiled in his memory in the heart of Annagassan, his hometown.

The bench holds the Olympic symbols either side to represent the Mexico and Tokyo Olympics in which he competed.

A local running group, Togher Runners, organised this memorial seat and the unveiling on Sunday October 21.

A large number of family and friends were present on the day as well as his wife Deirdre and his children. Ronnie De-

lany a former Olympic champion and close friend of Noel was also present on the day and paid tribute to him.

The local running group, Togher Runners, have also organised a 10K run to mark his anniversary on November 17 next.

This run takes in the beautiful views along the coastline of Annagassan and each runner will pass Noel’s Bench along the route.

DkIT in receipt of additional funding The Minister for State for Higher Education, Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD has today announced that Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) will receive additional funding to support the enhancement of the delivery of its graduate research programme. €0.5M will be split between DkIT and Athlone Institute of Technology as part of a joint submission to facilitate reforms in the higher education landscape.

The project focuses on increasing postgraduate research capacity and improving staff qualifications in line with the relevant

eligibility criteria set out in the Technological Universities Act 2018. For DkIT, this will also facilitate a regional landscape restructuring approach, including improving skills ladder progression pathways in the North East in a cross-border axis with HEIs and FET colleges such as Queens University Belfast, Belfast Metropolitan College and South Regional College.

Speaking today, Minister of State Mitchell O’Connor said, “Capacity building of both research capacity and staff qualifications will enable both institutions to advance regional collab-

orative approaches, including in terms of technological university development. The emphasis here is to increase the number of staff with cutting-edge technical and research based skills and on institutional research linking back into teaching excellence and the formation of more work-ready graduates with the skills required regionally and nationally in strategic industries”.

Speaking about the announcement, DkIT President Michael Mulvey, PhD said: “We welcome today’s announcement of funding. DkIT is committed to advancing the

social, industrial, commercial capacity of our region and this funding will help us advance our already successful postgraduate graduate research portfolio.

Since 2008, DkIT has secured in excess of €52M in national and European based funding which has led to a significant increase in the number and breadth of our postgraduate research community. Additional funding will help us continue our success in this area.”

The ultimate goal is to get them out of the buildings and outside where an-

ybody who calls 999/112 can be directed to them.

According to Barry Hennessy the plan of attack is to first set up PAD schemes and train as many in basic CPR and AED use (including children and teens because then they might not vandalise their AED’s).

Afer that they will then try and get the group to form a CFR responder scheme.

To do this Barry Hennessy needs to get a dedicated local person to take on running each local CFR scheme.

Gerry Adams has said that An Garda Síochána’s new Protective Services Unit in Louth must be adequately resourced to provide the necessary level of service to victims of domestic abuse.

Deputy Adams said; “In March 2015 the National Protective Services Bureau was established

by An Garda Síochána.

“Its remit is to investigate serious crimes against the person including sexual offences in support of the COSC Second National Strategy on Domestic, Sexual and Gender Based Violence 2016-2021.

In addition to this unit operating across the state, the Minister for Justice has confirmed to me,

in response to a recent parliamentary question, that the Garda Commissioner intends to establish Protective Services Units (PSUs), with specially trained staff, in every Garda division, on a phased basis.

“These PSUs are initially being delivered in three divisions, Louth, Dublin Metropolitan Region West and Cork City, over the coming 12 month period.

The new Louth Protective Services Unit will mirror the responsibilities of the Garda National Protective Services Bureau and will ensure a consistent approach to domestic abuse and sexual crime,” stated Deputy Adams.

Fianna Fáil TD for Louth and East Meath Declan Breathnach has said that reports that the National Broadband Plan will face further delays will cause even more worry and concern in the rural communities up and down the county that are desperately in need of high speed broadband.

Deputy Breathnach was commenting after it emerged that new Minister, Richard Bruton is expected to announce that the roll out of the Plan will not now commence until 2020 at the earliest. “While we are awaiting the publication of the Smyth report, it’s concerning that there are mixed messages coming from Government.

“We have seen leaks about the potential increase in costs

and that the roll out plan including the timeline will now change significantly. Over the past 14 months, Fianna Fáil has been making it clear that there was a problem with the procurement process – a process that resulted in all of the major telecom companies withdrawing from the contest.

“Fianna Fáil identified flaws in the process, and raised them repeatedly with the Government since September 2017. At the time, we requested the Government to intervene. Fourteen months have now passed and we are now facing a nightmare scenario of a full collapse of the National Broadband Plan.

“What is now needed is straight talking from the Government. We need concrete

It was another busy weekend for the town’s cyclists, in particular in the Cooley Mountains were the club hosted its annual High Roller event.

The event, held on every path, track and by road in the area, is unlike anything else in the cycling or even sporting world. Riders are split up into teams of four and set out to hunt for hidden cards which are then used for a

game of poker, which decides the eventual winner.

The Bike Station Cyclo Cross league is down to just the three rounds and Thursday last saw a win for Gareth Deekin. Aaron McCann, Ray O`Shaughnessy and Gary Shiels are all closely grouped at the top, with the final outcome still not set in stone.

Ardee CS compete at Cross Country

The Community and Comprehensive Schools Cross Country event took place on October 18 in the Phoenix Park, with 41 students representing Ardee Community School across all year groups in the days racing. All students performed to a high standard and represented the school very well. In line with previous years, we had much success both individually and in the team events.

The 1st Year boys, 3rd Year Girls and 3rd Year boys teams all won their team events, coming home with gold medals.

Individually, Emmet Smyth, Killian Daly, Abbie Sheridan Danny O’Brien all placed first in their respective year groups. While Rebecca McCarron claimed the silver medal finishing second.

Fitzer calls for amendments to abortion legislation bill Independent TD Peter Fitzpatrick has stated that he is seeking amendments to the abortion legislation as he believes the contents of the bill ‘do not reflect the wishes of the public as expressed at the ballot box last May’.

“I am very proud to have been elected to represent the people of Louth and East Meath in Dáil Eireann on two occasions. As a politician, I am above all a democrat and I respect the decisions of the electorate on all matters.

“For that reason, I fully respect the decision of the voters in the abortion referendum last May. It was a difficult and hard fought campaign for all those involved, and while I opposed any change to our Constitution, the reality is that the electorate decided to vote for change and it is now up to the Oireachtas to deal with that reality.

“The Government is currently introducing legislation in the Dáil which would introduce the provision of abortion in the Irish health system. I am calling for a number of amendments to this legislation.

“I want to make it clear that I am doing so not because I do not respect the result of the referendum. In fact, quite the opposite. I am seeking amendments because I believe that the contents of the

Bill do not reflect the wishes of the public as expressed at the ballot box last May. In many ways the legislation goes far beyond what the Government promised voters and would introduce an extremely liberal abortion regime.

“33% of voters in Louth voted No in the referendum, and having spoken to a large number of those who voted Yes, it is clear that a substantial number of them had serious concerns about any legislation which might be introduced. Many people voted Yes with the expectation that a limited system would introduced with reasonable restrictions and protections.

Therefore this legislation as it currently stands needs to be amended in a number of small but significant ways in order to take account of these concerns. “ I will be focussing on a number of key issues where I believe amendments should be made to this legislation.

“I believe the Bill needs to be amended to ensure that doctors, nurses or other health professionals should not be forced to have any involvement in an abortion if they do not wish to do so. I believe that abortion should not be allowed on the grounds that the unborn child has a disability

“There are a number of other safeguards which need to be put in place. For example, if a girl under the age of 16 seeks an abortion, then her parents should be notified of this request, as would be the case with any other medical procedure.

“We need to respect the clear decision of the people in the referendum last May. But at the same time, we must respect their genuine concerns, by addressing them in this legislation before it is placed on the Statute books,” concluded Deputy Fitzpatrick.

‘Holy Mary’ comes to An Tain

An Tain Arts Centre is hosting the highly acclaimed ‘Holy Mary’ on November 17.

FREE Diagnostic Check with every Service! aa urges caution on the road As we enter into the darkest months of the year the AA is advising cyclists to make sure that they are properly lit, while calling on motorists to take extra precautions to help keep bike users stay safe during the winter months.

“It is not fully bright before 0800 these days and dark again by 5pm,” says Director of Consumer Affairs Conor Faughnan. “That means most commuting is done in darkness, and with wet and windy weather forecast that makes it particularly dangerous for cyclists and vulnerable road users,” says Faughnan. “Not only is visibility generally worse during the winter months, when the wind picks up cyclists or pedestrians can easily be blown off course so it’s important that motorists allow extra distance when overtaking or driving near these road users.”

One in ten AA Members are regular cyclists with commuting numbers increasing steadily. The AA is calling on all road users to be properly prepared for winter. For cyclists, that means checking that brakes and gears are in good working order but most importantly making sure that you are properly lit, front and rear. For motorists, this also means checking the condition of your brakes and lights but also taking some time to check the condition of your tyres and your windscreen wipers which could play a vital role in safe driving during the winter months.

“On a wet winter’s evening in city traffic a car’s glass will be covered with beads of rain and bits of debris, all of which can worsen your visibility. We would encourage motorists to ensure their windows are fully clear before they begin their journey, but even with this precaution the windows can very quickly fog up again leaving only the area your wipers can clear free for you to see through. This will greatly reduce, if not eliminate, your peripheral vision, so it’s important that you carry out a check and a double check for any cyclists that may be on the inside of your car before you make any turn,” says Faughnan.

“To be clear, drivers have the greater responsibility and rightly face stiffer penalties because when a car hits a cyclist or a pedestrian, it is not the motorist who walks away with serious injury or worse. However, we would encourage cyclists to check all their lights are in working order just to help make themselves a bit more visible. This is not an ‘us versus them’ issue but one which is actually a shared effort to keep our roads as safe as possible.”

The AA also advises cyclists and drivers to be particularly careful if we get further windy weather in the weeks ahead. Strong and blustery winds are a particular hazard and cyclists can be buffeted and forced to swerve which means drivers must be especially careful.

Its not uncommon for tyres to last less than 10,000 miles and not uncommon for tyres to last over 50,000,miles It has been proven that keeping all of the above mentioned in check will improve m.p.g. (km/L).
