Declan eyes new Ironman record

A local man who only took up running in the last 18 months has set his sights on creating a new record by completing 30 Ironman races inside 12 months. Declan Loy will attempt to get his name into the Guinness Book of World Records by passing the current record of 23 70.3 mile races – and its all to raise money for organisation called Super You, which helps children and families with mental and emotional wellbeing providing tools to overcome and achieve challenge’s in life. Lenny wins Nose of Tralee By Paul Byrne There was success for Louth in Kerry last week when four-year old Golden labradoodle Lenny was named the fourth ever winner of the ‘Nose of Tralee’ competition. Lenny landed the coveted title ahead of 31 other dogs nationwide in the competition which is run by Pet Sitters Ireland.
