Dog walkers will have to have their pooper scoopers and plastic bags at the ready when they are out for a bit of exercise or face a fine if they don’t have one with them. A new by-law tackling the issue of dog fouling is due to come into force with fines of €150 due to be issued to people who don’t clean up after their dogs. And in addition to this people will also be fined if they are stopped and fail to produce a pooper scooper or plastic bag while out walking their dog. The draft bye laws will go on public display next week and remain open to suggestions or objections for up to six weeks before the laws are passed. Continued on Page 15

Continued on Tolani Odukele, Elle Mae Cooper and Grace Corrigan from Castletown Girls School get into the Halloween spirit. Page 15.
