Hundreds of Dundalk students congregated in front of the court-house in Dundalk calling on the Government to take action on climate change. This is the latest in a series of protests organised by students all over the country as they try and put pressure on the government to do more to save our planet. La Salle student Peter McGuinness was one of the organisers of the event and he explained exactly why he and his fellow students felt the need to protest. “We are striking as part of a global movement inspired by Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg. Our protest involved many students from around the Dundalk area who left school at 12:30pm to fight for our future.
