US Vice President Joe Biden will return to the land of his ancestors this weekend with a trip to Cooley planned as part of his six day stay in Ireland Mr Biden has often spoken about his Irish roots and how proud he is of them because it was where his ancestors had emigrated from ‘seeking a better future’. According to Joe his great great grandfather Owen Finnegan emigrated from Ireland during the Great Famine to give his family a better life. In a recent interview the Vice President recalled listening to his grandmother and grandfather Finnegan when he was a child in Pennsylvania speaking of the courage and Brroklyn King, Eamon Jeffers, Cillian Shields, Louis Murphy, Dylan Tuite, Alfie Murphy and commitment shown by Owen Aimen Sghaier at the St Dominic’s FC sports day.
