kind-hearted neighbours in the village of Omeath have displayed a real sense of community by rallying to help a couple whose home was destroyed in a fire. Last Wednesday morning a fire gutted the home of Omeath residents Paddy and Alisha McKevitt. The couple had only recently returned to Ireland having lived in America for many years. Paddy was at work at the time and thankfully Alisha escaped relatively unscathed. However, the house was destroyed along with everything the couple owned. Within a couple of days the community of Omeath had come together to organise an appeal to help the couple in any way that they could.
