A local man’s efforts to keep the coastline of North North free from litter and plastics have been praised by a local councillor who has called him an ‘unsung hero’. Riverstown councillor Antóin Watters has praised the efforts of the Rathcor man who spends many of his weekends collecting rubbish along the North Louth coast. The man who wishes to remain anonymous has been collecting rubbish around the area for many years and ac-
cording to Antóin he is a credit to the local community. “This man has been collecting rubbish around the area for as long as I can remember and he does so much unheralded work without looking for any praise or publicity. The man does this work off his own bat and has absolutely no interest in receiving any accolades or credit for his work. “He loves the area and he is just determined to ensure that it stays free of rubbish and plastics.
