A university, a new regional hospital and a light rail system were just some of the proposals being discussed last Friday as a representative from The Emerald Pearl Project met with the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce. The Emerald Pearl Project describe themselves as an advocacy group working with all parties to share more information about the proposed Irish Chartered City put forward by the Victoria Harbour Group. Huge response to ‘Meals on Wheels’ appeal
There was a huge local response when Bus Éireann, Ireland’s national bus company, joined with Meals on Wheels Dundalk to appeal for contributions for the vulnerable, elderly and housebound in the area last Thursday. More than 2,500 items were donated and a large Bus Éireann bus was filled. Full Story on Page 2.
