Christmas for most people is a time for family gatherings and enjoying good food and good company. However, for some it can be the loneliest day of the year with no family or friends around to enjoy sharing the day with. An Indian restaurant in Carlingford has very kindly offered to open their doors on Christmas Day for those who are struggling financially to put a dinner on the table or for those who simply have nobody to spend the day with. Newly elected Chairman of Louth County Board, Peter Fitzpatrick, has stated that he is aiming tocontinue his career in politics alongside his role in the GAA.
