Things may not be going so well on the medal front for Irish athletes in Rio but for one local girl the Olympics in Brazil are proving to be an extremely enjoyable experience as she mixes work with pleasure during the games. Sharon Lennon from Jenkinstown has been living in South America as part of her job with the Department of Foreign Affairs and is thrilled to be able to enjoy the games first hand. She was signed to the Irish Embassy in Brasilia in 2009 and has also worked in Buenos Aires during her time in South America. However, she now works as the Consul General of Ireland in São Paulo which covers the seven south-

Kenny’s troops ready for War By Paul Byrne Dundalk FC manager Stephen Kenny and his team will hope to give Dundalk fans even more golden memories this evening as the Lilywhites take on Legia Warsaw in the biggest game in the club’s history. Stephen and his backroom staff have left no stone unturned as they embark on an historic mission to try and take Dundlk FC to the promised land of the Champions League.
