Traders in Church Street will submit a number of serious concerns they have for the proposed plans to rejuvenate the area later this year. While all business owners in the area welcome the plans to improve the streets they have insisted that it must be done right and not negatively impact on trade in the area. Ryan’s mountain challenge By Paul Byrne A young man from Ravensdale is preparing to take on the monumental challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro this summer in order to raise money for a cause very close to his heart. Ryan Doherty is currently fundraising for his trip to Kilimanjaro where he will attempt to scale Africa’s highest mountain in June. All the money Ryan raises is going towards Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and he revealed that he was inspired to take on the challenge by his young cousin who has the disease. Full story on page 11
