THE local community has been plunged into mourning following the tragic death of Conor Morgan while on holiday in Cyprus. The 20-year-old had been holidaying on the island with a number of friends when he died following a fall in the early hours of Sunday morning. The young man, from Seaview, Cnoc na Mara, Golf Links Road in Blackrock, had only arrived at the resort on Friday. It has been reported that his body was found outside his hotel in Ayia Napa at around 4am, but the exact circumstances of the fall remain unclear. A student at Dublin City University, Conor was well known in local GAA circles having played with Dundalk Gaels and he helped them reach the Louth Senior Championship Final last year. Conor, originally from Manydown Close in Dundalk, played schoolboy football with Quay Celtic and was also a member of the De La Salle GAA Full story on Page 2
