A jury has found 29-year old Aaron Brady guilty of being involved in the robbery of Lordship Credit Union in 2013. The robbery led to the death of Garda Adrian Donohoe on 25th January 2013 and the jury of five men and seven women are currently deliberating on the charge of capital murder which Brady from New Road, Crossmaglen, Armagh has denied. Brady had also pleaded not guilty to a charge of robbing approximately €7,000 in cash and assorted cheques on the same date and at the same location. However, at 1.33pm the foreman of the jury announced they had reached a unanimous guilty verdict on count number two which related to the robbery at Lordship Credit Union.

Dundalk to face Slovenian champions European draws have proven very unkind to Vinny Perth since he took over the reins from Stephen Kenny last year and that trend continued on Sunday as Dundalk were drawn to face Slovenian champions NK Selje next Wednesday. As Slovenia are not on Ireland’s Green List for travel the one-legged tie will take place at a neutral venue in Hungary. UEFA have already stated that they will be providing a travel grant to subsidise the cost of chartering a flight to Hungary for the tie. Full Story Page 2
