Sports fans are gearing up for a momentous week as both Louth Minors and Dundalk FC set their sights on glory. Louth Minors will be aiming for a first Leinster title since 1953 when they take on Dublin in the decider at Croke Park on Sunday afternoon. It has been 46 years since the Wee County last appeared in the final and a huge crowd is expected to travel to get behind Wayne Kierans' side. Meanwhile, Dundalk FC are back in Championship League action when they host Rosenburg in Oriel Park tonight (Wednesday). Following their heroic exploits last year the expectations will be high once again as Stephen Kenny leads his team into battle against the Norwegian champions. See pages 11 and 15

Man dies in Garda custody By Paul Byrne
The man who died in custody at Dundalk Garda station last Thursday, Liam Mullen, is understood to have died of a suspected overdose. He passed away in Dundalk Garda station at approximately 9:30pm on Thursday July 6. The 55-year old was detained on Thursday evening at 8.30pm on suspicion of drink driving and is believed to have swallowed a substance before his arrest. A short time later whilst being held in a cell in the station he became ill and was attended to by an oncall doctor. Full Story Page 2
