Dundalk FC confirmed themselves as football kings of Ireland as they completed the League and Cup double in the Aviva Stadium on Sunday evening. Lilywhite supporters travelled in their thousands in expectant mood and they certainly weren’t let down by their heroes as Stephen Kenny’s side came good to bring the FAI Cup back to Oriel Park for the tenth time. Dundalk didn’t need to be at their brilliant best against a gallant Cork City side but a goal from, who else but Richie Towell, in extra-time clinched a thoroughly deserved victory. Concert in memory of Adrian Donohoe A special tribute concert is being organised in remembrance of the late Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe. ‘Remembering Adrian’ will be held to coincide with the third anniversary of his passing on Friday January 29 next year, and all funds raised will go to help causes close to Adrian’s heart. The concert will be held in St Joseph’s Redemptorist Church and details of the event were outlined at the launch on Friday by organisers Kathleen Maddy, Stewart Agnew, Martin McAllister, Inspector Brian Mohan.
