A local man who was so touched by the tragic events in Manchester that he showed his support for the city where his older brothers lives by running a 10k race just days after the terrorist attack at Manchester Arena on May 22. Mark sets sights in sheep shearing record By Eunan Whyte A local man is testing his talents to the limit this weekend as he has set his sights on creating a new Irish sheep shearing record. Mark McGeown from Ravensdale will take on the gruelling challenge over ten hours on Sunday. This schedule involves eight hours of shearing with one hour break and two half hour breaks over the course of the challenge which starts at 8am and finishes at 6pm.
