Boy(11) airlifted to hospital after fall

AN 11-year-old boy was airlifted to Temple Street Children’s Hospital (Children’s Health Ireland) from the Clan na Gael football pitch after falling through a Perspex roof at a premises on Clanbrassil Street on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:30pm and saw the boy sustain a serious head injury after falling through the Perspex roof at the back of a public house on the corner of Clanbrassil St/Market St. Friends of the boy immediately raised the alarm and emergency services were called to the scene. The boy was brought to the Clan na Gael GAA club on the ECCO Road before he was airlifted to Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) at Temple Street. Continued on Page 2
