There was a huge party on the Point Road on Sunday evening as the Sean O’Mahonys claimed their first ever Joe Ward Cup following a thrilling victory against Ardee St Mary’s. The men from the Quay are renowned for their battling qualities and they had to dig deep to come back from four points down before clinching a two point victory thanks to Conor Crawley’s late goal. That goal sparked scenes of jubilations in the stands as the O’Mahonys supporters basked in the glory of their very first Joe Ward cup.
