A BRAVE group from St Mochtas Ladies GFC went to 'Hell and Back' over the weekend as they took part in the notoriously difficult 10k race to help a young boy realise his dream to walk. Five year old Daithi Sherry from Stranoodan in Co. Monaghan was diagnosed with "spastic Diplegia" Cerebral Palsy at two years of age. This affects Daithi's ability to stand and is preventing him to walk on his own. Daithi has been recently accepted for surgery which will greatly enhance his chances of walking and standing independently and will greatly improve his quality of life. Members of St Mochtas Ladies who took part in Hell and Back
Musical tribute to Adrian FAMILY, friends and colleagues of the late Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe led by his wife Caroline, gathered at the Redemptorist Church on Friday night for a special concert to celebrate his memory. ‘Remembering Adrian’ proved to be a memorable event with proceeds from the sell-out event going towards a sports scholarship to be set up in his memory. The Church played host to almost three hours of music from local, national and internationally acclaimed artists beginning with an amazing strings recital. Full story on Page 9
