The community of Dundalk have been lauded for their generosity towards those less fortunate over the Christmas period following a huge number of fundraisers and charitable collections over the holiday period. From the annual busk for the Simon community to a group of Dundalk supporters raising €2000 for local charities and many more in between the people of Dundalk have once again shown they are willing to go that
extra yard for those in need at a time that is often categorised by excess and greed. There have also been wonderful gestures from businesses and school children with the Sitar Restaurant in Carlingford offering free Christmas dinners on Christmas Day and school children all over town making up shoeboxes full of gifts and essential toiletries for disadvantaged children across the globe, while Dowdallshill GFC marked the 60th anniversary of their Christmas Morning See page 2
